Today I am reviewing an independent business engaged in chicken farming - this business is located in my village (Blang village).
So here I will promote this business here with Steemian all through the writing that I share this time with the theme : (Steem Business Promo - Young Entrepreneurs)

Okay friends, first I will tell you that today I visited a chicken farm in my village, and was making a business place for one of my friends.

Arriving at this farm area, I saw the cages were very neatly arranged. I am very interested in seeing the new business he is developing now, and I will invite my friend to have a little discussion about this.

Before I go into the writing stage about my discussion with him - first here I will introduce my friend who is the owner of this business.

Who is this young entrepreneur?
His name is (Ramlan Fevriansyah), we used to call him by name (Ramlan).
He is about 28 years old, and he is a young man who is very independent with his lifestyle.
He's still single - meaning he doesn't have a family yet.

My friend is not one of the Steemian members, but I hope there will be an opportunity to be able to promote him with this platform, and I think he will be interested in joining us here.

M. Yadir is one of our villagers who uses the workforce to develop Ramlan's business.

What do I discuss with this business owner?
I will discuss several points related to the beginning of this business movement to the results obtained with this business.

How did he start this business?
The first stage of Ramlan starting this business was only to farm a small number of chicken seeds with all the costs he had, this was an experimental step.
After two stages he did something like this - he started to get excited and already has the added cost of that result and he will try for even bigger ones.

His next step will be to expand the location of his cage into the yard of a plot of land owned by his parents which is right behind his house.
This new land has an area of 70×20 = 564 square meters. Here he will build a new cage to enlarge the scale of his business.

New land for cage expansion

How much will the new cage cost?
So far he has calculated or calculated the costs incurred for all expansion activities and at the same time adding this cage of IDR 29, 000, 000 : 8, 107. 352 STEEM
This figure is calculated for the completion of the unfinished cage, and this figure also includes the cost of labor during the land expansion work.

What kind of chicken makes up this farm?
This is a chicken seed with the name : (Rooster)
These chicken seeds with the brand D'OLCHIT label from PT. MABAR - MEDAN.

Photos from the first nursery

This photo is the WhatsApp profile photo he uses, I took a screenshot, and I have asked his permission to promote on this platform - Ramlan has agreed.

In the process of raising chickens, to emphasize odors or ammonia, the coop requires a number of wood husks as the base for the liter of the coop - with the current amount being 250 sacks and at a cost of IDR 1, 200, 000 : 335. 476 STEEM

The process of sowing seeds :
The location for stocking seeds in 1 meter cage is 30 young chicks, and 15 chickens in 1 meter cage when the chicken weight reaches 0.4 kg.

How much is the number of seeds, seed capital, and profits in this young entrepreneur's chicken farming business?

4, 000 chicken seeds with a capital of IDR 25, 000 : 6. 989 STEEM/seed = IDR 10, 000, 0000 : 2, 795. 638 STEEM.
From the number of seeds will need as much as 5 tons of feed = 104 sacks at a price of IDR 525, 000 : 146. 771 STEEM/bag = IDR 54, 000, 000 :
15, 096. 449 STEEM.

Then the 40 day maintenance period will be a measure of the price is IDR 18, 000 : 5. 032 STEEM/chicken, and if 50 days it will be IDR 25, 000 : 6. 989 STEEM/chicken and then up to 60 days of maintenance it will be IDR 30, 000 : 8. 386 STEEM/chicken.

It is estimated that the chicken will need 1.3 kg of feed/chicken, this amount is a measure of its consumption starting from the breeding period to the harvest period.

So from all these calculations - the profit calculation is IDR 5, 000 : 1. 397 STEEM to IDR 6, 000 :1. 677 STEEM/chicken.

Note : IDR 3.577 = 1.00 STEEM is today's Coinmarketcap exchange rate (25 July 2022) at 00:50 western Indonesia time

The brand of feed that will be consumed by chickens at the age of 1 day to 20 days is HI-PRO-VITE 511F.
And the age of 20 days until harvest is with the brand of HI-PRO-VITE 511-BRAVO.

During this maintenance period, of course, a number of vitamins are needed - whether it will be used by spraying the cage (to kill bacteria), to vitamins that will be poured in water or chicken food (feed).

Several types of vitamins are needed by chicks, including (Elextrovide) with a function as an appetite enhancer, and for the cost of vitamins it will cost IDR 4, 000, 000 : 1, 118. 255 STEEM.

In this intensive period of raising chickens, of course, requires extraordinary lighting, but regarding this lighting, Ramlan explained that he has an automatic machine that turns on the lighting in the area of his coop when the state's electricity is congested or goes out.

And speaking of lighting - of course this also costs a lot, and Ramlan only needs to pay IDR 400, 000 : 111. 825 STEEM for the payment of lighting costs in a matter of one harvest time.
I think this is a very economical figure for the cost of lighting his business.

Okay friends, from the many discussions I had with this young entrepreneur (Ramlan - the owner of a chicken farm business) - he stated that the total capital used was IDR 100, 000, 000 : 27, 956. 388 STEEM and he would get a decent profit in one year. the harvest time is IDR 10, 000, 000 : 2, 795. 638 STEEM (10%) of the capital. And the profit earned is already a net number - meaning he has already paid wages to his workers.
