STEEM KINDNESS || Islamic New Year 1444 Hijiah (Saturday, July 30, 2022)
Hello all Steemian friends - wherever you are and whatever your ethnicity, here on this #steemit platform we are friends as well as big family, so here I want to invite you to wish : "Happy 1444th Hijri Muslim New Year"
I will be very happy and proud if you give us such a greeting.

Today, right on the date mentioned above - we as Muslims are welcoming the Islamic new year, namely the Hijri year. Where this day of the year is exactly on 01 Muharram 1444 Hijri, and this is where the date and month begin with the first count for Muslims.
But here it is different, today July 30, 2022 is a matter of the year AD, and we don't blame it - because all of it is true.

Then why is it called the Hirjiah year with Muslims?

Because it was on this day and month that our Prophet (Muhammad saw) emigrated to the city of Medina, so for Muslims, that is the first year count. This is the origin of the count of the year.

How will we celebrate welcoming this new year?

First, every Muslim has the right to welcome this new year. And of course we will welcome him with dhikr, reading the Quran, praying, and also reading special prayers for this.

We will sincerely pray that this new year we will be better than the previous year.

And below is also a prayer guide that is recommended in our religion to be read at the time of welcoming the Islamic new year.

Prayer for the beginning of the Islamic new year

This prayer is written in Arabic, and we really prioritize using our prayer sentences in that language form.
But below I will also give meaning to the prayer in Latin writing. Listen and pay close attention, because this will also make a prayer for all of you. Please...!!

It means :
"Oh Lord! You are the eternal and the early, by your great grace and your glorious mercy, you are the door of hope, - this new year has come.
I take refuge in you from the seduction of the devil and from his guardians this year, I also hope for your help in overcoming the lust that often drives me to act evil, - so I ask you for guidance so that my daily activities will bring me closer to your grace, - O Lord of greatness and glory."

This is part of the prayer we recited last night when welcoming the first year of Hijriah. And there are also several other prayer connections to be read at the end of the year and welcoming the beginning of the new year.

Photo of my prayer book attachment

The first prayer is written : The end of the year prayer which is read after the Asr prayer on the last day of the month of Zulhijjah.

The second prayer is written : The prayer of the beginning of the year which is read after the Maghrib prayer on the first night of Muharram.

Take a look below with a draft of the month count from the Hijri year and the Christian (Masehi) year!

The names of the months in the Islamic year (Hijri) month in the Christian year
Count numberHijri (Islamic)BC (Masehi)
01MuharramJanuary
02ShafarFebruary
03Rabiul AwalMarch
04Rabiul AkhirApril
05Jumadil AwalMay
06Jumadil AkhirJune
07RajabJuly
08Sha'banAugust
09RamadanSeptember
10ShawwalOctober
11Zulka'idahNovember
12ZulhijjahDecember

This 12 months is not a comparison of months like the order in the draft above, but it only shows the arrangement of month names based on their number sequence.

Why do I say that? Because the month in the Hijri year and the month in the Christian year will always shift in the number of days, that's why there is always a shift between the two.

Where are we celebrating our new year today?

Today I and several other worshipers are busy celebrating the welcome of the Islamic New Year's Day in our mosque, this of course this activity is full of various dhikr, prayers, speeches (religious enlightenment), and also various others which in essence are full worship activities with us on the welcoming event today.

This is my daily life today with them.
And this is our new year celebration based on our religious guidance.

Once again, give us a special greeting : "Happy 1444 Hijri Islamic New Year"
