What inspired you to consider this business idea for the summer season?

Summer is the warmest season in the Northern hemisphere from June to Augus or September. and December to February in the Southern hemisphere.

Even though Nigeria lies within the Northern Hemisphere, that period is characterized by both warm and cold in Nigeria.

The business idea l may consider for the summer season is a bottled water business. People take a lot of water during warm weather.

What challenges might one face when starting this business and how too can they be overcome?

The challenges one might face when starting this business are the inputs.Where there is no nearby spring water, a borehole is needed.

One has to consider the costs of drilling a borehole. Build a plant where production will take place. The machine to process the water for safe consumption.

Most importantly,the starting capital. Also an approval by the National Agency For Food And Drugs Administration (NAFDAC), a federal government agency responsible for certification of a product.for safe consumption.

Also, the source of energy is another challenge when starting this business. There should be an alternative to electricity, in case of failure maybe as a result of any mechanical fault.

Alternatively, there should be a standing generator that will supply energy to help in during production.

Overcoming these challenges is to borrow from any financial institution to help purchase the inputs necessary for the takeoff.

The agency that is responsible for the certification is to meet and obtain the license that would guarantee production.

How do you plan to market this business to reach the target audience effectively?

One of the plans to market this business to reach the target people is to make flyers with the label with a registered approved NAFDAC number to create awareness about the product.

I will distribute them to enable interested consumers to have knowledge about the product.

I will find a mobility that will help to carry the product around to targeted customers.

Besides the flyer, I will advertise the business in media such as newspapers, magazines, Twitter, Instagram, and especially Facebook,which has millions of users.

To attract customers, I will in the first instance give some discount and also engage the services of sales agents on a commission basis to reach intended customers faster.

In a nutshell, the challenges faced in establishing a business are the inputs. In Nigeria, in the summer season people consume a lot of water, and to make the product get to the targeted users is to advertise the product.
