The journey to Kuta Malaka Peak is a long adventure full of stories, but beautiful views await at the top.
After passing through residential villages, rice fields and grasslands, the climbing journey begins. Steep roads with small gravel will welcome the journey to the top of Kuta Malacca. The journey to the top will pass through residents' gardens and on the other side you will be greeted by a gaping ravine with a rocky river at the bottom which will make your heart beat fast. Above the hills there is a monitoring post which is a parking area for vehicles heading to the Kuta Malaka waterfall. Kuta Malaka waterfall has seven levels with cool, greenish water. Mossy rocks surround the waterfall. It takes extra energy to set foot on all levels of the waterfall. Moreover, from the parking area to the waterfall location you have to walk along a steeply descending path surrounded by large trees.
The peak of Kuta Malaka, which is in the Bukit Barisan mountain range, is one of its beauties. When the sun sets, from the top of the hill, you can see the lights coming on one by one from residential areas. When night falls, the sparkling lights of the city become an amazing sight from Puncak Kuta Malaka. Puncak Kuta Malaka is the coolest camping spot in the Aceh Besar Regency area. During the day you will be able to see the vast rice fields and the Banda Aceh – Medan highway clearly.
Kuta Malaka Waterfall is one of the tourist spots most visited by tourists because of the beauty it offers in seven levels. Currently, many local residents have started planting durian trees in the area. So that in the future the peak area of Kuta Malacca will become an agro-tourism location. For those who want to experience the sensation of camping, the peak of Kuta Malaka could be the right choice. The location is also very easy to reach from Jalan Banda Aceh – Medan, precisely in the Samahani area. Then enter via the road to Waterboom Kuta Malaka. Next, pass through cow pastures and up a gravel road to the top of Kuta Malaka.
