Hi friends ❤️ I'm glad to take part in this week's engagement contest, the topic is so interesting, I mean we are all familiar with these two terms hard work and smart work! Well if you ask me, I'm an advocate of working smart, though I believe the key to success is hard work but if only it's done smartly 🤓. In this article, I will explain how I understand the two terms and which I think is better, so stay connected.

HARD-WORK: Means putting in a lot of effort and spending a lot of time to finish a particular task. While SMART WORK on the other hand means completing the same tasks with less time and effort but with high or same quantity and quality. Smart work is about getting things done quickly and in a better way, looking for an easier way to carry out tasks maybe through delegating work and making sure that input produces maximum output.

Hard work incurs a lot of energy and effort coupled with time, no thought about the creative way to carry out a particular task just about the traditional way, and the direct approach it has always been done.

I think working smart is better for boosting productivity, why I prefer smart work to hard work is that smart work has a holistic approach to tasks compared to hard work, it always yields a better result without spending lots of time, it's a way of carrying out Strenuous tasks in a simple & easier way and with a lesser time. It requires us to think fast, brainstorm and come up with a creative way to do work in an effective/efficient manner, and in an enjoyable way.

Carrying out tasks this way will boost and increase productivity, going the extra mile to work effectively and efficiently, and producing extraordinary results in a limited time.

Smart work increases motivation, the joy and positive feeling of doing our job more simply will make us enjoy our work and have a good relationship with fellow employees and our employer

Though I like working smart I mean it is a pro-max of hard-working but there are some instances we can work hard, if we have enough time to carry out a particular task but even at that we need to be smart and use a smart goal which is:

S - Specific: we need to know exactly what we want to accomplish and have a clear vision.

M - Measurable: we must have a clear way to measure our success.

A - Achievable: our goal should be realistically compared with the available time and resources

R - Relevant: the goal must be in line with an organization's mission, we should only work on long, tedious, and expensive projects if only it will add value to the organization.

T - Time-bound: there has to be a clear deadline set and an end date, you don't want to be aimless.

Even when you have enough time it's better to finish work ahead of the deadline. Always explore effective ways to finish your task in a more effective and organized way with less time, and be flexible in completing your task.

In my previous role as a banker I often work smarter, always thinking of better ways I can serve my customers, and identifying a simple and new method to process customers' account and loan applications to enhance customer turnaround time this increases customer satisfaction and loyalty to the bank!

Dear Steemit team, thank you so much for working smart (effectively and efficiently) to increase the productivity of this platform, thank you so much for being flexible, and delegating work to trusted users, because curation work is not an easy one, it's hectic, you have the foresight and this has boosted the productivity of Steemit.

Thank you so much for always coming up with creative ideas that will help both old and new to grow, thank you for always having our best interest at heart, I appreciate you 💕

Yeah dear, what I meant is that whatever we are doing we should be working smartly, thinking of better ways to do it more effectively and efficiently.

Oh I'm glad we shared the same sentiment, thanks for visiting me.

One can achieve success from smart work which cannot be achieved through hard work.
You have written well about smart work and also the efforts of steemit team. All the best!

Thank you for your nice contribution, I appreciate your good wishes!

Thank you so much for your nice comment, but for me be it a work that needs physical effort we need to think of ways we can work smarter and faster. I appreciate your good wishes, thanks for visiting me.

I appreciate your effort in going my post and your nice contribution.

I’m very impressed by how you’ve turned the word smart into a good abbreviation that translates to its meaning and yes smart work does pay more than hard work most of the times.
Thanks for sharing and good luck

I appreciate your warm commendations, thank you!

Welcome dear

Wonderful and insightful post, I have known you as a very smart and hardworking woman I will like to be like you when I grow up. Cheers.

Haha B, thank you so much for your kind commendations, I appreciate! And need I tell you? You're good too!

Kiss,hug.😍

I love the quality of your post ma, it is well detailed and have learnt something new today, which is the full meaning of the abbreviation SMART.

I agree with you in the part where you said sometimes hard work does not pay but smart work does. That's certainly true ma and most times when we discovered that we didn't get paid after our hard work, we feel sad and weak.
