Dear Steem Entrepreneurs,
As Entrepreneurs, you need to learn Basic Business Soft skills to enable you manage and scale your business.
I enrolled in a business management training class organized by the State Government, and finished with flying colours. I became the President of my group. During the graduation ceremony/dinner night, I was asked to present a Vote of Thanks
The following is my Vote of Thanks. You will really learn a great lesson.
Votes of Thanks Presented By the MEGP BATCH V Students During the Certificate Presentation and Induction Dinner Held On December 29th, 2021.
All Protocols duly observed.
There is a famous African proverb that says: "It takes a whole village to raise one child". The meaning of this proverb is that the upbringing of a single child is an effort that can only be successfully completed by the collective efforts of the community of people sowing into the life of a child, training the child in the way of a village and even disciplining them so that they can grow up to be successful and independent human beings.
Everyone in the village keep involves in the process of raising the child, mom's and Dads, siblings, cousins, grandparents and even neighbors. Everyone in the village carries within them something that the little child is going need in order to successfully grow up.
In the same spirit of the African proverb, I want to submit to each person sitting here on this momentus occasion that it takes the whole MEGP Community to raise a whole person.
My name is Itoro Udoinyang, and on behalf of the whole MEGP Batch V students, I want to thank each person in the MEGP Community, who has helped us come to this point in our lives where we have the opportunity to walk across this stage, having finished 10 rigorous weeks of training and preparation.
I want to say a special thanks to His Excellency, Mr Udom Emmanuel, the Executive Governor of Akwa Ibom State, for stepping into this role to inspires young Entrepreneurs with burning desires to change the world around them. Thank you your Excellency for supporting and sponsoring this Programme.
I want to specially thank the Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the Governor on Branding and Marketing, Mr Ime Uwa and his counterpart the Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the Governor on Entrepreneurship Development, Mrs Meflyn Anwana. Both of you have constantly working to design this Programme in a way that we enjoy learning and growing. Thank you both for seeing that the founding vision is expanding.
To the Small and Medium Enterprise Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN), headed by Miss Lucy Ekpenyong and her entire team. Thank you for constantly presenting us with contents that has challenged our minds.
And to all the facilitators, I am fully persuaded that there is no University on this planet that has faculties who are in love with their students as you all are. You did not only deliver your lectures excellently well, but you all were epitome of love, peace and hospitality. I say thank you.
Our training Coordinator, Mr Brian Ekwere and his entire team, you were all amazing in your respective roles, the coordinations, administrations and organizations of classes, tea breaks, group work, assignment, company tour and this grand certificate presentation and induction dinner, I mean it is breath-taking. You have done well with us, I say thank you.
If I fail to recognize the photographers who ensured that we have lasting memories of our experiences during the programme, I will not forgive myself for such an oversight. Whenever, we see them coming in, we will all sit calm and arrange ourselves for nice shots. Thank you.
To the members of the kitchen staffs, your delicious meals always give us the energy to sustain ourselves during training. Thank you.
Finally, to our spouses, parents, siblings and friends, it is because of your words of encouragement, motivation and prayers that has made this whole Experience one of its kind. Thank you too for your love.
You see, without the help of each group of people whose names I just mentioned, it would be impossible for each graduate to be sitting where they are today.
It takes each and every single person in this auditorium and the MEGP community working together in unity to raise a whole person and that is you and I graduating today.
Each person is invaluable on the quest that we have been on for the last 10 weeks to become whole persons, to become Entrepreneurs. I can assure you that because of the training, and development, and love, and relationship that we have received, we have been adequately equipped to walk out the journey towards been successful entrepreneurs.
To the MEGP Batch V students, I want to comment your consistency, your cooperative spirit, teamwork and commitment to this course. We have all make it to the finish line. We are all winners.
My fellow MEGP Batch V students I don't want to tell you thank you, but I want to congratulate you for making it this far. Congratulations!
When our lord and savior Jesus Christ was hung on a torture stake, knowing that he has accomplished his earthly assignment, before he bread his last breath, he exclaimed in a loud voice: "It is finished".
When Jesus said those 3 words and hung his head, it was not just a signal of his dead, it was a cried of victory. When Jesus said those 3 words and hung up his head and breeds his last breath, the ground began to shake, stones began to split, darkness covered the entire earth and the veil of the temple was torn into two, ultimately altering the course of history. There is power in finishing.
By completing this Entrepreneurship Training Programme and ultimately being obedience to God during this season of life, you have opened up the door for God to use your life to make history.
