Hello Steemians Welcome to @jasminemary's post. Thank you for your time here. In this post, I have discussed how I first got to know about and decided to join Steemit.
Tell us how you first got to know Steemit and decided to join it.
I got to know the platform when it was introduced to me by @josepha and decided to join it in 2020. At first, I never knew that there was a place like Steemit where I could share my posts, learn, and still get paid, until I was told about Steemit by @josepha.

The moment I was introduced to Steemit, I decided to join since I love posting on the front page. Before Steemit was introduced to me, I had been looking for an opportunity to be sharing my contents with friends, and thank God I found Steemit, and I have been here since 2020.
Finally, to this end, I joined Steemit so I could be promoting my brand at the same time I was running a mini boutique business. My motive was to advertise my products with Steemians so they could buy them.
In your opinion, what are the advantages of Steemit compared to other similar platforms?
Steemit is far different compared to other similar platforms that I have been hearing of like Hive, SEREY, Blurt, Medium, etc. Although I have only heard about some of these mentioned similar platforms without using them, based on my research, Steemit is still far better than them in the following ways:

Write down your main motivation and purpose for joining Steemit.
As I have earlier said, I decided to join Steemit so I could share my contents and also advertise my products at a time when I was still running my Mimi boutique business. Although, beside that, I have other purposes for joining Steemit, which are detailed below.
- To promote my products
- To be sharing my contents with others
- To know more about cryptocurrency and to have a cryptocurrency portfolio.
- To be safe for the future,
- To improve my writing skills and level of creativity.
- Finally, I was motivated seeing how people were creating valuable contents.
Do you intend to power down? or even more excited to power up? Tell us! and what is your strategy not to lose your club status?
No, ooh, I don't intend to shut down. If you have observed since I joined Steemit, I have never powered down. Instead, the only thing I do is withdraw 50% of my earnings and save 50%. "Powering down" is like a way for me to close my business. I.e., withdrawing all my assets from a business that I have suffered to build.
The strategy that I use to not lose my club 50/50 status is to maintain the club 50/50 status that I have. I know that leaving Club 50 to go to Club 75 may make me go broke or feel hungry, which at the end of the day may make me tempted to lose the club or shut down. Maintaining Club 50/50 is much easier for me than Club 75. The simple strategy here is to check my club status always and do PowerUps weekly and monthly.
Write briefly about your goals and hopes with Steemit in 2023.
My goals and hopes with Steemit in 2023 are to reach 15K SP so I can earn better curation rewards and to recruit my friends to join Steemit. Also in 2023, I have the hope that I will invest some of my money in Steemit so as to quickly achieve my Dolphin goal.
