How to start a business with small capital

In my country Nigeria, there are many business that one can start with small capital. Although at times we find it difficult to start up a business not really because of the capital but because of lack of good business ideas. Today we will discuss different kinds of business ideas we can start with small capital.

First of all, let discuss what business is.
Business is an individual or organization regular profession, occupation, trade or services, typically conducted daily for the sole purpose of making income. Normally there are many types of business but amongst the many, are three major types of business... Sole proprietorship, Partnership and corporation.

As said earlier, we will focus on how to start a business with small capital which can be categorized into sole proprietorship.
Small businesses that requires small capital are businesses operating without a formal shop, fewer employees, generating small revenue and is either operated on the street (street vendors) or in a kiosks. Such business includes frying and selling of akara, street fast food vendors (know as mamaput), POS (point of sale) operators, advertisement and sales or internet market.

The following are the different types of small business running in my area that one can start with small Capital

AKARA

Akara is a small business that requires a table for display, frying pan, mortar pistol, and accessories. It is a business that sells well in the morning like breakfast. It does not require too much capital to start. With ten or twenty thousand Nigerian naira, one can start this Akara/Bread or Pap (akamu) business.

KIOSKS

This is another business that is very common in my area. Though because of no chance, I couldn't go and snap a picture, so this is from the internet. Kiosk business can be started with either #50,000 to 100,000. It is a sharp sharp business that has to do with mineral, biscuits infact all the snacks and many more.

Another lucrative small business is the POS(point of sale) business. All you need in this one is your POS machine, a table, probably a cover over your head and if you do not have enough money, you can alliance with someone or a bank.

This one in particular almost everyone advertise and sells their products/service in the internet. One can vertualy start internet business with just one product and before you know, it has turned into a very big business.

In conclusion, starting up a business at times does not depends on the capital but the ideas. So I hope my post can inspire someone to get up and start doing something. Do not wait until you have plenty money, there are many businesses you can start with small Capital.
