Domestic chicken ranges from Tk 400 to Tk 450 per kg. The price of Pakistani chicken ranges from 300 to 350 taka. And broiler chicken is sold in two ways a chicken is slaughtered and sold as piece piece kg like beef. The price of this broiler chicken is Tk 280 per kg and broiler chicken is Tk 200 per kg. These chickens mostly come from farms. Native chickens come from many homes. And the Pakistani cocks come from Jaipurhat, Panchbibi. The chickens in Joypurhat are comparatively more flavorful.
These chickens are sold for a profit of 5 to 10 rupees per kg. And people sell about 100 to 200 kg of chicken every day. Shopkeepers get a lot of profit from these chickens. So now chicken business is a very profitable business. Because of the increase in the price of beef, people instead of buying beef meet their needs with chicken. And because of this, the sale of chicken has increased a lot nowadays.
Each chicken weighs about 1 to 2 kg and broiler chickens usually weigh 2 to 5 kg. So the chicken is sold very quickly. The profit is high as the daily chickens are sold every day and very few chickens remain unsold and those unsold are sold the next day.
