PART-TIME JOOBS

I know we all know that part-time jobs are jobs with do less frequently in mostly during our leisure time for the purpose of earning passive income. Part-time jobs are sometimes referred to as side hustles, jobs with do just on the side out of our main jobs to support ourselves.

Below I talk about my personal part-time job and how I manage it with my school and personal life, I hope you enjoy your read.

MY PERSONAL SIDE HUSTLE

Ushering job is the kind of job I do on the side. That is ushering for events, conventions and conferences. As a student this is the kind of job that have actually been suitable with my studies. It has been the best kind of side hustle that makes me still have enough time for school activities.

Although I also do some kind of freelance writing jobs on the side, but the issue with this is that jobs don't come in often like the ushering.

MY PART-TIME WORK SCHEDULE

Nothing much nor tight, it doesn't transpire with my personal life, just only when I'm fully chanced. My ushering mostly comes during weekends, that is Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Of course during this time I'm always free.

THE BENEFITS OF PART-TIME HUSTLES

There are a lot of benefits of part-time jobs, yes! Amongst the lots of benefits the most popular are just;

• Opportunity to earn passive income;

Of course, part-time jobs gives you the opportunity to earn passive income to support your main income. Sometimes it can happen that this passive could be more than your main income. Like me sometimes my upkeep money from my parents can't be compared to the money I make from my part-time hustles.

• Less stress;

Part-time jobs aren't really that stressful, it's almost like you're being paid for doing what you do casually everyday, for some.

• Flexibility;

Like I said part-time jobs will always give you time to do other things that are important in your life. With part-time jobs your personal time with be tampered with.

• Opportunity to build CV;

Yeah with part-time jobs you get the opportunity to boost you CV and work experience, thus giving you a higher level of confidence than others when applying for such kind of jobs in the future as a main job.

• Making new connections;

With part-time jobs you get the opportunity to make new friends, meet new people and connect. You don't know where you might end up tomorrow and who might be of help to you in the future.

MY MAIN JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Well, I am a student and I'm not really working now, so I don't really have a main job. Instead my main responsibilities now is to read my books and study hard to finish with a good grade.

Part-time jobs are just what I take interest in during my leisure time.

HOW DO I BALANCE MY PART-TIME JOB, STUDIES AND PERSONAL LIFE?

To be honest I won't say it has been easy, but of course there must be a balance so one does not suffer from the other. So how I do it is as follows;

• I work only on weekends, that is Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, even when there are jobs during the weeks I don't take part.

• I have my reading timetable that I follow stringently. As a student my studies are my first priority, so I have a reading timetable I don't mess with.

• As I only read with my timetable and only work on weekends the remaining hours of the day and week are for myself to do things that matters to me like gymming!
