Good day friends and a blessed new week to everyone, do you know there are certain things we do while carrying on our daily job and instead of it being a blessing, it takes a thing or two from us? Yes because I have been noticing something lately and I just want to share it, just stay with me for a while.
So yesterday, I went to barb my hair, my personal barber travelled back home for the Christmas holiday so I was just carrying bushy hair and I thought of just barbing it.
I went to this classy barbing saloon to barb my hair, the barbers there never greeted me and didn't even replied to my greetings, they were all carrying straight faces and since that was my first time, I was thinking maybe that's how they attend to their customers, I showed them the style I needed and ofcourse it's what I have been barbing since I was a kid.
I was trying to tell the one that was about barbing me how to go about it and he told me not to teach him his job, I said okay then, very well. Some minutes barbing my hair, I realized he had spoilt the style, I called his attention to it, he was beginning to get more rude, I kept quiet because I didn't want to have any issue with anyone.
He barbed me a total mess, even my hair line, he did a total mess of it, I paid the money and promised myself never in my life will I go there for barbing or whatever business, it was so clear that these guys were full of themselves and yet couldn't deliver the job they were so proud of.
Now let's imagine they do this to atleast 2 people in a day, calculate it by 7 days in a week, that's over 14 people, how many people will be their returning customers? Logically, yes we know the place is classic and a modern barbing saloon but someone like me will prefer to sit in a traditional saloon and get my hair barbed well and with a good customer service than go to classy place and spend so much yet no good customer service and prompt delivery.
If you are a business owner, be so intentional about your mood when you see a customer, they determine if you stay in your business or not, not even your passion and determination can keep you in a business for long if you don't maintain a good customer service and prompt service delivery.
Same thing applies to those in the corporate world, you go to the bank to do a transaction or atleast make enquiries but won't be attended to quickly untill the workers attend to their high profile customers or those wearing big clothes and drive flashy cars. They forget that every penny and transaction a customer does irrespective of how little or big it is, it is why they keep coming to work everyday day and getting their pay at the end of the month.
It is time to stop being rude, learnt to be a customer friendly service provider, this is how to win the heart of people to patronise whatever you do or sale. It is not magic, just a little logic my friends, go out there and smile, win customers to your business, you owe yourself that.
