Making money while having fun

Have you ever turned your passion into a money making venture?? Well, today I did. So I felt like eating snacks and not the conventional garri and soup that was available. I thought and thought and decided to look into my environment as I did not have cash ( a very scarce commodity in Nigeria now). Then I remember that my mum makes cup cakes for sale and viola... I thought of pan cakes.

My PANCAKES Ingredients

1 1/2 cups of flour
4 eggs
1 teaspoon of baking powder
3 spoons of dry milk
3 spoons of sugar
Grounded nut meg
Salt to taste
Pepper to taste
No flavour added

Preparation

First, I added water to my milk.
Whisk the egg in a separate plate.
Then I added and mix all the dry ingredients with a spatula in a large basin.
I added the eggs and turn, then the milk water little by little till I got my desired texture .
I added pepper (some people add onions but I didn't). Then I added a little groundnut oil and continue stirring to got the desired results. Find picture below.

The making

I turn on the electric stove and place my frying pan on it and started frying. 2 minutes after, light went off( the Nigerian thing).
Since I didn't have gas in the cylinder,I resorted to firewood.

With moderate fire,I placed frying on fire, added a little vegetable oil, allow it to heat up for some seconds, then using cooking spoon , I poured in the paste.

Money

Then thought was to make for my family but dad came in with a friend who got so happy seeing what I made. He asked to buy some in appreciation to the ones I gifted him and boom...I got $5 equivalent.

It was a good day after all.
