Mahapurush Lalan Saiji passed away in the first year of 1890 in Chheuriya village of Chapra union under Kumarkhali police station of Kushtia district. He wrote more than 1000 Baul songs. Among his notable songs, Jat Gelo Jat Gelo says: I am sitting immeasurably: Time will not be fulfilled: Manush Bhoja I will be a golden man.

Lalan Saiji's 132nd Tirodhan Day was celebrated for three days from October 16 to October 18. Meeting fairs of saints from different districts of Bangladesh are organized in the shrine area. On Tirodhan Divas of Lalan Saiji, Baul saints salute him by singing countless Baul songs written by him. Baul devotees wear white clothes. Baul artists perform songs in the rhythm of Lalan Saiji to the rhythm of different instruments including ektara, dotara, banshi, dhugdhoogi, harmonium, tabla.

A huge village fair is held in the temple premises on the third day of Sais. From a variety of toys including a rocking chair to match. On the occasion of the arrival of visitors to the fair, many temporary small and large hotels, motels and hotels prepare various cosmetic dishes.
