Jaggery has been in use since ancient times. Jaggery is a sweet food. Various types of food are prepared with jaggery. Different types of Pithapuli are made with jaggery in the village. There are several types of jaggery. Date molasses, sugarcane molasses, Pathali molasses, Nali molasses are among them.

Sugarcane jaggery is available throughout the year. Sugarcane jaggery Jaggery is made from sugarcane. These molasses are granular. Sugarcane molasses is used in various applications. These jaggery are delicious Pitha is made from sugarcane jaggery. Sugarcane molasses is used to prepare various pickles. Sugarcane molasses is priced at Tk 100-120 per kg in the market.

Date molasses is available only in winter. Date molasses is made from the sap of the date palm tree. In winter, Gachiyas go from tree to tree to collect date sap. Those juices Jaggery is made through various types of processing. Date molasses is in high demand. This date molasses is one of the ingredients for winter pies. The price of date molasses per kg in the market is 160-180 Tk.

Jaggery is one of the most important items in the life of Bengalis. Bengalis are used to eating different types of food. They prepare different types of unknown food. People of different places prepare different types of food. Jaggery is used in the preparation of most of its dishes. So the demand of molasses is huge in our country.
