Hello my friends, greetings. Hope we all doing great. Today I bring to you my entry on the topic:My daily transportation. We are all entitled to use a means of transportation in order to carry out our normal day to day transportation.

Today there has be the innovation of the transportation since the Renaissance age and industrial revolution. We are now opportune to choose different means of transportation as of present.

The various means of transportation we are likely to take for city activities include: Transportation by bus, by taxi, by scooter or motorbike, bicycle , private transport, train etc. Among these category I will pick my choice of transportation and discuss in this context.

My Daily Transportation

It is but obvious that we must use one means or the other to carry out our transportation as we can not just walk out on every distance and perhaps some distance were we supposed to attain to are far off.

So seeing this as an issue I will discuss on my daily transport base on the fact that, it suit my schedule and time limit. I live in a very populated city which is overcrowded with citizens and foreigners all over the globe.

Douala town is the economic capital of Cameroon and it's the main business center in the whole country. It attract investors and traders all across the globe due to the availability of the deep sea port, railway stations and and the main international airport.

So getting out in the morning is not an easy job as your faced with traffic and other problems. The most easy means of transport I use in the morning is By motorbike in the early morning and taxi on my way home.

Using a bike in the morning is easy and fast means of transportation and I usually return home by noon when there is little congestion on the roads and so I use a taxi this time around.

My Daily Transportation Expenses

I figure out that taking a motorbike in the early hours of the morning was a smart move and it faster though risky at time. But still preferable as I can reach work in time. So I usually use the bike in the morning and a taxi in the afternoon.

I work 5 days a week and weekend I relax and sometimes travel to other regions of the country. So cover over a distance of 20 km every day and taking a bike to work usually cost me 400 frs and also on my way home using a taxi will cost me 300 frs.

Due to the increase scarcity in fuel prices, the transportation moved from 300 as before to 400 frs .

Lately I engage in a discussion with one of the taxi drivers on my way Home and he mention that his expenses on weekly maintenance are total of 10,000 frs most often and we are going to use this as reference for this context.

As form car ownership and maintenance, I won't know much as I don't own one yet but from what a driver mention to me it's approximately 10,000 frs / 66.89 Steem a week.

Air pollution

Air pollution being the emission of unwanted gases in the air, it has been the major case in my city as there is increase population and also increase use of automobiles. This is becoming a serious problem as it might result to an environmental problem in feature.

According to statistics it shows that Douala city alone consist of more than 2 million vehicles and comprise the use of fuels. This number combine can contribute to approximately emission 1679 metric tons of Carbon dioxide a year since one vehicle alone can emit 4.6 tons a year.

This is a serious problem but I don't think the government has passed any major control this effect contributing to the fact that we're a third word country and a propose solution could have been an electric vehicle but there not available here yet. So we dependent on what we have.

Electric Vehicles As A Medium Of Transportation

There is one person who come to my mined at the mention of the electric vehicle Elon Musk. Who is the CEO of Tesla company, the leading electric car manufacturing industry in the world.

Taking to into consideration, an electric car is an Eco-friendly vehicle as it risk little to non on the environment. The idea of electric car was a game changer to help save the environment from environmental pollution.

I believe I many manufacturing industry can invest in the technology to produce more electric vehicle and limit the use of fuels using vehicles, the amount of air pollution will greatly reduce and there for saving the environment and our ozone layer.

CONCLUSION

Finally I will conclude by saying, electric Vehicles are the feature of the automobile industry, as there also many advantages. For daily expenses it quite huge now as compared to before when things were normal. A lot of economic factors have contribute to this rise.
