Steem Entrepreneur: Summer Vacation Contest!

Where did you go, and what inspired you to choose this destination?

This time summer vacation was indeed a wonderful one for me because I was with my family throughout the vacation period. As a student of the College of Education here in Akwanga, I have been in school all this while, and for that reason, it has been a hectic period for me.

I guess you all understand the hecticness of being in school especially a higher institution where you are trained on how to be a teacher and also educate others. The challenge here is much.

Taking at least 20 subjects every semester that you need to pass with at least a credit is never easy. Those who are in the teaching line will understand and that is why the summer vacation is very important to me.

So this time I went to my parent's place in Abuja where I had less work and much rest because my siblings were always there to help and the fact that I wasn't compelled to read was an added freedom for me because I needed to at least rest my brain.

My trip was a normal trip with no issues attached. From Akwanga where I am to Abuja where my parents live is about a 3-hour journey. On a faithful day, I decided to travel, I went to the park and the book a car which cost me about ₦3,000 which is about 12 Steem at the time of writing this contest.

I booked the car and then waited for other passengers to also book because the car had to be full before we moved. It is an 8-sitter vehicle and it must be full because of the cost of fuel in my country.

We left the park at noon and before evening I arrived home my siblings and parents welcomed me warmly because they had missed me so much since I had been in school for the past 5 months. I was given preferential treatment on my arrival and I was so happy to be at home.

Did you learn anything new or have any memorable experiences you would like to share?

I have a memorable experience I would like to share with you all. Firstly, when I arrived home I was treated like a queen because it had been a while since everyone at home saw me. Also, I was given good food and drinks on my arrival because my mother knew I hadn't eaten her food for a while.

Aside from that, my parents during my birthday also decided to sponsor my going out because they said it had been a while since I last celebrated my birthday with them. So all through my stay it was one enjoyment or the other.

The entire stay was fun because I was treated specially and I wish I had more time to spend with them but since the vacation period wasn't that long I had to go back to school. So that was how my summer vacation was celebrated.
