Employee or Entrepreneur

Being an employee means you are working for someone else, a company or an organization, i.e., the person is hired to carry out certain tasks or duties for which on an agreed time interval, the person is paid salary or wages.

Benefits of being an employee include stable Income, job Security, benefits and Perks as some employers offer benefits such as health insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, and other perks like employee discounts.

On the other hand, an entrepreneur is someone who starts and runs their own business, taking on the risks and responsibilities of building and managing their own business or company. It is more like being the captain of your ship, steering it towards success.

But then, being an entrepreneur also comes with its benefits and challenges, which include freedom and Control, as you have the freedom to make your own decisions, another benefit is the potential for Financial Rewards, this happens when your business succeeds, you get to earn higher profits and enjoy financial rewards that can surpass what you might earn as an employee.

But then, certain challenges are associated with being an entrepreneur, which includes, uncertainty and risk, as starting your own business involves taking risks.

Another challenge is the lack of Stability. Unlike being employed, entrepreneurship can be unpredictable as your income may fluctuate, with no guarantee of steady employment.

Now to the question, which is better? who said I can't be an employee and entrepreneur? Most Government employees these days have their Enterprises where they also offer employment to others, So yes, I can be an employee and still be an entrepreneur.

Saving or investing

Saving involves setting aside some of your money for future use instead of spending it all. This is taken as a means of preparing for any unexpected expenses in the future or for achieving future goals, ensuring you have some money safe for rainy days or something special you want to buy later on.

Investing on the other hand is likened to you planting seeds in a garden and watching them grow into beautiful plants. But then, instead of planting seeds, it is your money you are putting into different investments like stocks, bonds, or real estate to grow your money over time, just like the little seeds growing into big, fruitful plants in the future.

Investing is a way to earn more money than just saving it. However, it's important to remember that investing comes with risks. Therefore thorough research is needed before investing, and also one needs to learn to diversify his/her investments and be patient because it does take time for an investment to grow, just like the plants don't just grow overnight.

when it comes to Saving and Investing, I prefer the latter as with investing I am given the chance to beat inflation and also earn a certain percentage of Return on Investment (RoI), just like this great platform where when we power up more, we get more and better curation returns because powering up is our means of investing on the ideas of this platform.

Steemit or Hive

Steemit was the very first social media platform that rewards its users, before the coming of Hive which broke out from Steemit. To cut to the chase, out of my experience as I've been on both platforms I joined Hive that same week I was introduced to Steemit, but here I am on Steemit and my Hive account was abandoned.

Without fear or favour, I can say that I prefer Steemit over Hive and my abandoning Hive for Steemit proves that fact as I find Steemit to be more relatable, reliable and user-friendly. These are the very reasons I jumped on the Steemit Ship and let the Hive sink away knowing I can't be captain of both ships, so why not move to the one I'm most comfortable with because in the end it is was pleases you most.

I wish to invite @ninapenda, @ruthjoe, and @suboohi to share theirs with us.

Thank You for your Time

NOTE: Always have a smile on your face, as you are never fully dressed without one.

Upvoted. Thank You for sending some of your rewards to @null. It will make Steem stronger.

I have created my Hive account within 7-10 days after I created steemit account and published some of my posts there too but I didn’t feel comfortable there and then quite on hive and active on steemit. I enjoyed uour writing. You have explained employment and entrepreneurship wisely. Good luck my friend.

Thanks for sharing your experience. It's totally understandable that you didn't feel comfortable on Hive and decided to stick with Steemit, same happened to me even though others feel it's value is higher than that of Steem, with it having also added several other tokens as a means of incentives.

But in the end, it is always about we finding our comfort zone and I have that with Steemit. People will say I am saying all this because I'm getting supported and all, but then I still stayed active even when I was just struggling. That shows that with dedication and commitment things will fall in place and it did.

I'm glad you enjoyed my writing and found the explanation about employment and entrepreneurship helpful. Good luck to you too, my friend. Let's keep rocking on Steemit.
