Assalamu Alaikum everyone. Today I am going to break out of the traditional genre and share with you an article of a different kind. The reason for saying otherwise is that today I will talk about my experiences focusing on my nature world. The importance of nursery in modern agriculture in our country is very high because without nursery it is not possible to expand our agriculture. The main work of the nursery is the production of seeds of different species of trees and taking care of the seedlings.

Nursery Business and its Purpose

Recently, I visited a nursery where everything from producing different varieties of trees to saving the seeds, collecting the seedlings, taking proper care of the trees and finally selling them to various ordinary tree lovers.

I commend the activities of this nursery because it not only provides good quality seeds and seedlings but also provides employment opportunities to the underprivileged in our country and preserves the environmental balance.

I was feeling peace in my mind in the midst of nature. However, during this trip, I was able to realize many important things. This type of business plays a very important role in our country's economy. Businessmen earn lakhs of Bangladeshi taka per year in this kind of nursery.

Advantages of nursery

I spoke to a trader during the visit, who told me that a square meter of land produces several thousand seedlings that are ready for sale in just 3 to 4 weeks. Therefore, they can earn a lot of income in a short time in this nursery business, he said. By his words, it is evident that by setting up the nursery business, it is possible to balance the environment and develop the country prosperously.

I think that nurseries are very useful in any country's economy and environmental conservation. A nursery is a scientific method of caring for and preserving flowers and fruits, herbs and plants and preparing them for marketing. Its main objective is to provide good quality seedlings for plantation. Producing seedlings from seed can be said to be one of the primary objectives of nurseries. But through this, the saplings of different trees are produced and sold to tree lovers like us by different methods such as branching, cutting, tissue culture etc.

I have found some of the best indoor plants here that are very healthy. Those who are plant lovers like me know that these indoor plants are a top priority for making your home a beautiful place on earth. Because the green elements in home decoration help us a lot to keep our health good. I have come to know about some indoor plats by visiting such big nurseries.

After that I observed a little flowering plant. A shopkeeper was telling me the names and prices of various flowers. And these flowers need to be watered regularly so that the flowers look beautiful. Because the seller says, buyers are not satisfied without seeing flowers on the trees. He told me that about 900 tubs of flowers are hanging here. Mentionable among them are - marigold, selphia, chrysanthemum, cut crown, color garden luxuries, China togar, wood rose, Thai jaba, China rangan, Japanese rangan, different varieties of roses, jasmine, belli, kash, marigold, lotus, aster, combes, Randhachura, Cosmos, Pinji, Snowball, Dunningtouch, Kotalika, Lantana, Nayantara, Panchatia, Lillian etc.

Ideas for plant tubs

Nurseries also sell tubs suitable for different plants. In the picture below, you can see that a shopkeeper has arranged the garden with tubs of different types of plants. Here are different prices for each tub. I asked them how and at what price they sell the plant tubs. He told me, if the buyer first chooses a tree, then he selects a tub according to that tree and adds the price of the tub to the price of the plant to determine a price. But here the buyers can have different varieties in selecting the tub.

In fact, I am often impressed by the environment around the road when the nursery flowers and fruit trees and various indoor plants are arranged along the road in Dhaka. Shopkeepers here do not only sell trees. They make beautiful designs with different trees. This is the new trend in our city now that tree lovers are very interested in decorating their homes. They cost about 200 in Bangladeshi taka. They are very attractive to look at and a plant to impress the customers.

The importance of nursery in the country's environmental balance and socio-economic perspective

Finally, after my trip, I was able to gain my own experience that these nursery businesses in our Dhaka city are very profitable. Like me, they also plant trees in their yards, balconies and houses and the nurseries in our neighborhood help these tree-loving people to meet their needs. From these nurseries, people have the opportunity to buy plants easily and at low prices.

In fact, it is very difficult to see greenery in this city of bricks and stones. But if there is such a big nursery then the touch of greenery soothes our mind. On the other hand, a livelihood is also being provided for those involved in this business. All in all, the lesson of my trip is that we should look at the nursery business very seriously because it provides employment opportunities for many people to maintain the economic development of the country as well as to protect the balance of the environment of our country.
