Greeting and Peace be Upon you.
Pakistan came into being after the Muslim youth in the sub-continent broke the chains of slavery, the history and struggle for Pakistan dates from 1608 AD - 1947.
Pakistan was created on Ideological basis making it one of the few countries to have a Ideological backround.

Tell us the name of your country or a little history.

Pakistan's history is very Long and complicated, how the British exploited their rights to trade and eventually started to interfere in political matters altering the peace in the sub-continent. Their dominance started in 1858 and ended in 1947
Pak in "Persian" or "Pashto" means "Pure" and Stan means "Land". So Pakistan's meaning is "Pure Land" as it was the Ideology for the nation.

What do you like about your country that makes you proud to be a resident of that country?

Unlike some Nations Pakistan gives it's minorities Equal rights as it does to the Majority. The white quarter on the left side of the flag symbolizes Minorites, Given that you can guess the importance of Minorities in our society.
