How would it feel if you stay without water for a week?
You'd probably feel frustrated, agitated and dehydrated. You would call on the gods of sea and water to come to your aid.
At that point, you'd fight for a drop of water will to quench your thirst. That is to show you how valuable water is to mankind.
You can probably live without food for up to a week but can't afford to be off the water for that long.
What is the function of water in life?
- When sweat leaves our body, water is needed to replenish the waste that has gone out to regulate the body temperature back to normal
- Water acts as a lubricant to the body because drinking it helps protect our tissues and makes our joints and spinal cord flexible for easy movement and less discomfort.
- Taking water helps the body excrete waste in form of unrine, excretion, and sweats
- It also helps to freshen the body when used to bathe and wash away dirt.
- Water helps one eat healthier and also aids easy digestion of food by breaking down the food we take in.
- Taking enough water prevents constipation and makes you feel more comfortable.
- Water improves one's mood. It prevents one for being irritated from dehydration, a drop can make anyone happy.
Uses of water.
- For drinking
- For cooking
- For washing the dishes
- For doing the laundry
- For bathing
- For watering our plants
- For cleaning the environment
How do we describe the value of a drop of water?
Water is a tool of survival to everyone, although performs more to others.
It is worth differently to a lot of people. Companies, they use it to make their products.
Restaurants, use it for their foods.
For farmers, it is vital for watering and nourishing their plants.
Being thirsty makes me feel squirmy and restless but a drop of water calms my nerves.
How is the availability of clean water in my area?
My area has large amount of water available. Majority of the houses being built today has construct a borehole in the house for easy access to water. In my house, we also have access to water having dug through the earth in search for good water.
Conclusion
We can afford to live without some material things but cannot not live without water. Water is used for the important activities that we do everyday.
