Hello everyone, how are you all doing? I believe each and everyone of you have been having it great with your day one way or the other, on today's article, I will be sharing my school environment during some walk-ins I had earlier today.
Prior to the ongoing strike by ASUU who are known to be the Academic Staff Union of Nigeria Universities, Federal Schools in the southwest part of Africa, Nigeria to be precise have been on two months of a strike today, causing the school environment to be scanty and no ongoing activities in the school either, been a while since I walk in the school environment, then I choose to have a walk-in from my lodge which is located off-campus to the school in the early hour of today.
In this post today, I will be introducing you to my school environment, The name of my school is Ahmadu Bello University, located in the Northern part of Nigeria, Kaduna precisely, the school comprises several campuses and faculties, but here on, I will be taking a walk through the main campus, located at Samaru, Zaria Kaduna Nigeria
At the early hour of the day, I took a walk on one of the major busy streets situated off-campus known as Danraka street, but we could see that due to the few students around and most staylite of the environment are not up yet due to the lockdowns of schools, which means no much movement, and no movement, no market to sell either, this street right here leads to the school major road and right to the school gate entrance.
DANRAKA STREET
Afterward, I was able to get past through the security at the north gate entrance, where I get to present my ID card before gaining access to the school environment, the picture below is the past entrance of the NORTH GATE.
ABU NORTH GATE
Right through the North gate entrance is the new football court, thou it hasn't been used yet as there are still ongoing projects on it.
While by its left is the major road that leads to a secondary school situated within the university environment, as as well a Public library which is generally open to all students within the school and outside range.
Up next is the female hostel SULAIMAN HOSTEL, thou the hostel has just been relinquished to the females, the males students do make use of the lodge earlier as in the last session, but due to the stuffed environment, the males had to expand to other phases of the campus.
A picture of me during the walk-ins along with the school environment.
Right through the image is the PHARMACEUTICAL FACULTY, the large building behind leads to the various department under the Pharmacy faculty along the roads leading to other places like veterinary medicine and the likes.
Beauty at its peak, ABU is known to be one of the largest in Savana Africa, prior to that, the school is also blessed with some great views of the environment, the image below is the order side of the pharmacy faculty building.
And here is the school COMMUNITY MARKET, this is the north gate basics market where students get all sort of studies materials, at the back is the canteen and others as well, as we could due to the strike, most of these shops are closed due to less patronage.
And here is the entrance to my faculty, FACULTY OF ENGINEERING, the Greek of knowledge, the two-building belong to the Department of Electrical engineering by the right, and by the left is the Mechanical Engineering Department.
And by the corner of those building mentioned earlier is next to my department, Telecommunication Engineering, conjoined same building as computer engineering, thou we previously share building with electrical engineering before, but this is the new department building.
At the back of the faculty is the Civil Engineering Department, as we can see that the building comprises of great buildings as well, the department has just been renovated as well.
Next is the other part of engineering faculties, this gate leads to other engineering departments like environmental engineering, metallurgical engineering, polymer engineering, and others.
Here leads to the other department building mentioned above as the garden in the picture is known as Water & Environmental Garden.
Up next is the Faculty of environmental design building, as these also comprise several departments like Building, Architecture, Urban and regional planning, and others.
Within the Environmental Faculty is the Prof M.M Garba garden, one of the most used gardens in the school environment, mostly used by the architectural student due to the cool weather, and the place is quite conducive for reading as there hardly be a sun reflection and as well there is a strong WiFi connection for studies.
And I wrap it up with having a caption at one of my favorite spots on the School campus.
Here comes the conclusion as I have shared with you my daily activity for today as I took the walk into the school environment in the early hour of 10:00 am, then by 04:00 pm I returned to my lodge due to the change of weather of a predicted rain which did fell some minutes later.
Thank you for following up on my post, I hope have been able to share with you some lovely environments of my school campus and I believe you get to have seen a thing or two that beautified your face in the school environment as well. See you in the next post!!
