My answers to the above question is that, I am seeing Steemit replacing other social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and so on. The reasons to my answers are stated below.
Other social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and others has been in the market for a long time now and made it easy to target users with the aid of ads and also gained a lot of data on its users profile.
Unfortunately, most people are now tired and turning away from their busy news feed and content and ads which are sometimes irrelevant. Most users now don't login into their account anymore they find other platforms where they find relevant news and stories such as Reddit, Medium Mines and so on. This platforms are trying their possible best to fill up the gap where by creating Communities where user's generate their content themselves. Although this platforms are coming up gradually and are quite different from the normal everyday social media platforms.

Other social media platforms are not built on blockchain and they make use of centralized system which means one or two persons has the authority to control and make decisions. In other platforms it is owned by one person. Where by the owner of the platform will monitor your chats, the kind of contents you post, has the right to ban your account and also restrict you from viewing other people's contents which is not ment to be so. Users account are been hacked by hackers while on steemit it is not so.
Their users spend much time on the internet creating quality content, engaging in entertainment passing informations and gaining information from their platform. But all they do is just for free, spending their time and data without gaining anything in return. Although it is not about the money but it is quite essential. Users are not been rewarded for their activities on their platform.
Other social media platforms are dominated by big publishers who pay a lots of money to the platform for their post so as to get a high reach on their site. In other words those platforms feels way more filtered and regulated. Users on their platforms don't see same information and they explore from different sources within the app.
This is where Steemit comes in.
The Steemit social media platform rewards you for the time you spent on the platform. It allows you to post and comment like any other social media site, with a Reward attached to it.
