MAKING A DIFFERENCE (50% to @campusconnectng)

Have you ever been eating beans and probably one of them was bad? What happened? Just that single bean spoiled everything in your mouth, isn't it?

😅It takes just a single bean seed to change the taste from good to bad(Negative difference).

Many people indeed at least say they want to make a difference. Let's say most "claim" they want to but they don't cause they are not ready to.

It's true what they say" black man like njoh". We tend to apply this philosophy in almost everything. We want things but we are not ready to do what it takes. We are not ready to pay the price. We want it to be given to us on a platter of gold. fortunately or unfortunately, some things just have to be worked for.

I've realized that most of us want to make a difference but we don't want to be different. Yes, you read that right no error. If you want to make any difference, you need to be different first.

That of course is where the problem lies. It's a human tendency to want to have a sense of belonging, we hate the feeling of being left out. But then being different is necessary for you to attract success.

Standing out from the crowd can be quite daring. You face chances of being ridiculed, discouraged, looked down upon, you can name the rest. Do you know the funniest thing?😅 some of the highest people to celebrate and benefit from the change you would finally bring about are those who stood at the forefront to taunt you.

People are awarded prizes. They did something different because they stood out from the crowd. Inventors were able to invent because they thought differently, a businessman can overpower his competitors because of his ability to act differently. It helps him to go one step ahead of others.

I remember I was always told, "When you go to Rome, do what the Romans do". Well to a certain extent I'll say yes and to another extent, I'll say NO.

You don't have to do something simply because other people are doing it. You have to do things because you are convinced it's the right thing to do. Of course, we know that the fact that everyone does it doesn't mean it's right.

Peculiarity cannot and should not settle for average, mediocre, regular, normal nor ordinary.

Do you want to make your engagement count? Do you want to make a difference? Do you want to live above mediocrity?

Don't settle for average, don't be afraid to be different, uncommonly do common things, when you go to Rome, let your identity be felt.

You'll make a difference either way but will it be constructive or destructive? Will you choose to light the dark or darken the light?
