My story is about how an accountability book made me smashed 70% of my goals.
Last semester was the beginning of my undergraduate journey. I had dreams, visions, and pictures of things I wanted just like everyone else I wanted to make good grades, stand out, and be the best version of myself.
My first semester was the toughest part of my life so far🥺. I thought it was when I was seeking admission 😂. But, when I got to school everything became too choky that I had to quit some of the things I had a passion for, quit some of the organizations I was working for. Even still when I wrote my first semester exams I was still adjusting to the system.
I decided to embark on the journey of self-evaluation, it was then I discovered that my inability to snatch my goals and visions was a lack of accountability, then I promised myself to do better this semester.
Then, I got myself 40 leaves exercise note. Every Sunday I would write what I wanted to achieve that week and the day after, however, I made sure to allocate time to them. For Instance:
4:00-5:00am- Morning Devotion
5:15- 5:45 am- Arrange my room, listen to music, exercise.
5:45- 6:00 am Study a few words.
And the list went on... I made it realistic enough so that I would remember I have a lot to do.
Surprisedly, I discovered at the end of the day I was able to smash 70 to 80% of my goals.
Sometimes, the allocating of time doesn't work because of my school timetable and unexpected circumstances... So what I usually do is reschedule or perhaps add the undone ones to the next day's schedule.
This has helped me overcome procrastination and also become a better version of myself...
I am very excited to share this with every other student, and i am thankful to @pricelesspresh for organizing this contest.
