I woke up early as usual today because it was a Saturday and I had a lot on my “To-do” list so I decided to start early in a bid to finish early. I actually woke up by 5:30am to wash my clothes, after that I decided to clean my room; sweeping the room, mopping the floor, cleaned my bathroom, washed plates and tidied up my kitchen. It was around 8:30am when I was done with all this. I had my bath and got ready to go to the market(Ogige market-popular in nsukka) in about 30 minutes, I had to walk to junction to enter a motorcycle with a friend of mine that wanted to go the market as well.
I didn’t have a lot to buy at the market. So first of all a friend directed me to a clothing store in the market because I wanted to get a birthday gift for someone. Lol I got there and as they kept showing me different clothes that was when I noticed shopping for guys can actually make you so indecisive and getting something with a very good quality Is quite expensive as well (guys most especially). After like an hour I was finally able to make a decision- a vintage shirt and a polo.
I later went ahead to get a few items I’d use to cook tomorrow(Sunday), I got things like carrots, green peas, cabbage, cucumber, meat, garlic, ginger, onions etc. I also got a cable extension. So from there I and my friend entered a shuttle back to school and we went straight to class because we had an assignment to submit and funny enough we hadn’t started at all then. That was around 12pm and we had to submit by 3pm or so. So we got to class and saw some other students trying to complete their assignments as well. I knew I had to finish mine earlier because I had a virtual exchange meeting with a veterinary school in India. This exchange was between the veterinary medicine school in UNN and that of India and it’s actually an association called IVSA(International Veterinary Students Association). Anyways the exchange was supposed to last from 1:30pm till 3:30pm.
When I had finished with my assignment and submitted I had to look for a quiet area to partake in the virtual exchange because my lodge was a bit far from where I was then and I knew I couldn’t make it on time if u decided to get home first.
The virtual exchange ended around 4:00pm which was later than expected. It was actually very fun. They learned about our Country, different cultures, tribes, clothings, ethnic groups, greetings, local delicacies etc and Vice versa. We also played a few games they suggested like tongue-twisters and ice breakers.
Around 4:30pm I started heading back home because I was tired and starving, apparently I didn’t have the time to eat all day. Funny enough I got home and unpacked everything I got at the market and just laid down on my bed and I’m still too lazy to get up to cook something.
This exchange sounds like something really interesting. I could see a lot of smiling faces in the images uploaded. I couldn't spot which of the faces was yours tho
