When i was preparing for my post utme exams early last year, i only had one thing in mind and that is to gain admission into the highly rated University of Nigeria Nsukka.
I prepared vigorously and that saying that hard work pays did not elude me as i saw my name in the merit list, i celebrated with my family because i had made previous attempts to gain admission but all was to no avail but finally God did it.
I had to wait for a period of 6 six months so as to start officially and when the time finally came i paid all the necessary fees and resumed just like my colleagues.
The first time i stepped foot into the University in order to attend lectures for the first time ever, i felt proud and excited but my mood changed when i got to the supposed venue of the lecture just to discover that the venue had been shifted to a far location.
I asked people for directions and some of the answers i got where quite funny but i did not find it funny then because i was so stressed out and i was missing my first lecture in UNN, one person told me WELCOME TO THE DEN with laughter and that was when it dawned on me that the popular saying UNN NO BE YOUR MATE was absolutely true.
To cut the long story short, i did not locate the venue on time and with anger i went home to prepare for another day and this time i would be ready.
From that day onwards i started mastering different departments, buildings and the various routes for locating them.
Life as a student in UNN is not easy at all though generally speaking life as a student wether primary, secondary or tertiary is not easy but UNN is a different ball case.
I thank God for a successful first semester and as i journey back to the den this week for the second semester, i pray that it would be successful and a little bit stress free and same goes for all UNN students out there, in fact all students.
I wish you success this semester, you know life itself is not easy and that is because we're living in a wicked world, yeah critical time, God's word told us before hand that it will be hard to live in. But we just have to try and to be grateful for whatever we have, continue to be active in our community, join our curation trail and always set some percentage for campus connect community to help us grow.

UNN had always been my dream university although things never worked out as planned. My time as a jambite I stayed at home three years all in the name of getting admission in UNN . Success in your student life
