Why you need ENOUGH SLEEP as a student:

Night parties are very much fun. It's really hard to resist them. Or maybe spending your dusk till dawn at a gaming house sounds like a better bet. Human nature makes us want to put relaxation before what may be of much more importance to us at that point in time than we realize it, one of which is SLEEP which belongs to the night time.

Before we dive in, I want to ask a quick question. How much sleep do you think a person needs in 24 hours?

Well as an adult, you need about 6 to 7 hours of sleep IN THE NIGHT. Yes, I said in the night. Good sleep is better at night to get yourself well fit for the next day.

Sadly, not many students understand the importance of sleep. I want to shock you a little bit. Do you know one of the few things all the billionaires in the world have in common? They all sleep early at night. You may be wondering that the most successful people stay awake all night to "chase the bag". That's really not true. The most effective people don't joke with sleep time because they are well aware of the benefits:

  • You can wake up earlier with less fatigue: If you sleep by 10:00pm and wake up by 5:00am, you'll notice that you won't feel as tired as sleeping by 2 to wake up by 7 in the morning. If you do the latter, you will instantly feel really lazy and your eyes will be very heavy. Sleeping early improves your mood in the morning.

  • It gives you more time: Yes, this is true. Waking up early in the morning gives you an extra hour or two that you can use for productive tasks such as studying. Night study is alright but you might be very tired at night to study after the day's tasks. This is why your first priority would be to sleep then wake up early for the next day.

So, I hoped we learnt a thing or two from this post. Please let's appreciate this gift of sleep and use it wisely. Seriously, some people can't sleep. This is something called INSOMNIA. In fact, lack of sleep can make you an insomniac. I really won't want to be that guy. In fact, I'm off to bed now.
