Campus Connect Weekly Contest - Week 18 - Looking Back At 2021 by @faroukadam || 20% to @campusconnectng

This year has been an eye-opening year for me. The long break that happened the previous year (2020) made me set some goals for this year because the future isn't predictable. I wanted to achieve a lot, even though I didn't, I am still grateful for all I achieved this year, the blessings likewise the lessons.
I was so happy after the long covid break because honestly, I missed school so much. I resumed school (Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria) in January and was ready to make this year, my year with some goals I wanted to achieve.

At the beginning of the year, my goals were;

• To Learn cryptocurrency
  After going through a bad financial year, the previous year, I wanted to start up something for myself, something to help me financially. I had little knowledge about forex and cryptocurrency but seeing the way this was helping my friends financially, I decided to learn and join the train.
  Around February I took my crypto journey seriously and so far it has been going well and I have made some profits through trading some cryptocurrencies, thanks to my wonderful friends who put me on. My interest in cryptocurrency was also the reason a friend of mine @jamezmccoy, introduced me to Steemit, and I can't thank him much.

• To get a laptop and become a better graphic designer and photo editor
  One thing I love doing is designing, creating, or editing images or pictures. I started this year without a laptop but I was able to save up and get a new laptop which is one of my achieved goals this year. I needed the laptop because I wanted to become better in the above skill to be able to monetize it and earn from it to support myself and my family financially.
  I was able to improve my abilities in this skill and I made some cool designs this year. My biggest win from this skill was when I edited an image for an artist during a challenge, and he won the challenge.

• To become a better athlete and basketballer
  Those who know me, know I don't joke with my fitness, sports, and exercise. I love exercising and playing basketball so much because it helps me keep my mind sane and sound as well as my body. I wanted to become a better basketball player at the beginning of the year and I think I achieved that, even though it's a continuous process I am better than I was last year. I also became fitter and look better unlike the previous year because I exercised more this year.

With this brief description of my year, I can say it wasn't a perfect year but at least it was greater and better than the previous year. I am also grateful for this year 2021 because I learned a lot of lessons and also got blessings, and I pray next year will be better, Insha-Allah.
