A debt for ancient knowledge

We find ourselves at a time when the traditional path to college seems less of an option for success in life, because the cost of tuition is unaffordable and even unreasonable for most young people, knowing that if they graduate, the only thing they will face is there is a lot of debt and the uncertainty that they have learned something along the way.
Along with this, the way people and companies work has shifted from tedious office work to simply hiring freelancers for specific tasks, freelancers who have learned everything there is to know about business through experience and using good resources on the Internet. . Don't discount the value the career may have added to your life in the past, although studying for a degree doesn't guarantee that all areas of your life will be immediately satisfied once you get it.
Therefore, in this content I will discuss some of the things that college does not bring you, things that you will have to learn through painful trial and error or other methods that are more effective.
People look at what you have done, not what you have studied

You might think that adding +5 years of career to your resume will impress a soon-to-be employer if you put it on the table. Well, that may have been true in the past, though not today.
In a world where results matter more than other companies, they are more willing to pay for people who have actually done the job in the past and ask themselves why pay for something that studied how to do something when they can pay even less for someone who actually did it.
This is why college does not guarantee immediate success in finding your place on the job market, leaving you with only one alternative, not showing your potential as an employee through your scientific merits, although through your past work, showing off, if you work in a creative field, many proof of your craft and if you are not just showing your achievements to other companies.
Basic Finance
Many careers might teach you a lot about a certain field, but something they don't even talk about is how to manage the money you earn, avoid mistakes that can lead you into debt, and how to save your income, future emergencies.
However, thanks to the internet, you can find plenty of content on how to get the most out of what you get for your services, including valuable advice such as saving more than you spend, paying off your debts as quickly as possible, investing in yourself and investing in retirement funds. As obvious as all of these phrases may sound, you'll need a lot of this knowledge to navigate your finances in the modern age.
Living a life outside of work
Another thing they won't teach you in their internships is how to approach your work and live a life you can enjoy outside of work.

The only thing most universities tell you is that you should spend as much time as possible in your office and that even seeing sunlight distracts from your main goal, your work.
However, this can turn out to be destructive work, burning you out faster and making hell out of something you might otherwise deeply enjoy, like what you were trained to do. Therefore, you should focus on being the master of your time and working efficiently, not tiringly.
I hope that with the information presented I was able to give you some knowledge about some things that a professional career did not teach you in your path as a student, elements that you will face in your life whether you want it or not and that you will have to figure out for yourself, so you can get the life you really want.
