Growth in the human system

Hey guys, It's one of your favorite steemians, and I'm here to discuss about the biology world; Growth to be precise.

We would all agree that as human, one thing we cannot do without is growth, growth is one of the major characteristics of living things.

In this discussion, we would learn the basis of growth, types of cell division, aspect of growth.
Most importantly, we would discuss little on the growth in plants.

I have decided to reduce the length of my discussion so as to encourage further research from your side, I want all to learn how to do research. Shall we proceed?

DEFINITION OF GROWTH

Growth is defined as an unchangeable/permanent increase in size and internal complexity of an organism. Growth happens as a result of the formation of new protoplasmic materials.

PHASES OF GROWTH

Inorder for growth to occur in an organism, the internal components of the organism must pass through three phases and they are:

CELL DIVISION:
This is one of the complexities of growth, please follow me carefully as I break this down to it's simplest form.

Cell division is connected to cell multiplication, a cell cannot multiply unless it first divides.
When a cell divides into two, we can say the cell has multiplied into two.

CELL ENLARGEMENT
This process follows immediately after cell division, immediately the cell divides, it starts to increase in size so that it can further undergo cell division again, leading to multiple divisions.

CELL DIFFERENTIATION
In this stage, the cells enlarges to the point whereby it can be differented from other cells. It changes it's structure inorder to carry out a specialised function.

TYPES OF CELLS DIVISION

There are two types of of cell differentiation and they are Mitosis and Meiosis and they will be briefly explained below

MITOSIS

Mitosis is a cell divisional process whereby each daughter cell produced has the same chromosome content as the parent cell.

Chromosome are the carriers of genes and genes are responsible for trait in living organism.

STAGES OF MITOSIS

  • Interphase
  • Prophase
  • Metaphase
  • Anaphase
  • Telophase

    MEIOSIS

Meiosis is cell division whereby four daughter cells are created with only one duplication of chromosome.

    STAGES OF MEIOSIS

  • 1st Meiotic division
  • 2nd Meiotic division

1ST MEIOTIC DIVISION

  • Interphase
  • Prophase 1
  • Metaphase 1
  • Anaphase 1
  • Telophase 1

    2ND MEIOTIC DIVISION

  • Prophase 2
  • Metaphase 2
  • Anaphase 2
  • Telophase 2

Further research should be made to understand growth more fully

Really nice introductory course to how growth occurs in the human body. Looking forward to more medic related articles

Nice write up 👍👍

Thank you boss @utyalban
