My Achievements and Failures in the First Half of 2022, and My Expectations for the Second Half, You Wouldn't Miss My Steemit Achievement By @jueco

Hello campus friends,
With a heart filled with joy i humbly appear before this great community, a community filled with active publishers and hard-working moderators.

I am making this post in respect to the interesting contest hosted by @campusconnectng in this great community.

This contest is aimed at increasing the number of active publishers in this community and it is also a great initiative to help support the ongoing engagement challenge sponsored by the steemit team.

You will all agree with me that irrespective of how successful an individual is, he will still have a certain height he still aim to get to, and of course, life in itself is filled with ups and downs, so challenges are inevitable.

Even taking a good look of the world richest man, Elon Musk, just because he is the world richest man doesn't mean that he doesn't want to climb a higher ladder of success, it doesn't mean that he doesn't want to acquire more riches and wealth.

So in a sense, all humans have a set goal and some challenges they face to achieve that goal and this is what this contest is aimed at.

This contest expects every participants to explain their goals for the year 2022, and their accomplishment so far for the first half of the year, and also the challenges they have encountered in accomplishing their target.

MY GOALS FOR 2022

ACADEMIC GOALS:

As a student, it is only appropriate that we have academic goals as this will help us attain higher academic height.

I'm currently in my second year, studying Electrical and electronics engineering in Michael okpara University of agriculture, umudike, located in Abia state, Nigeria.

For my first and second semester, I have a goal of coming out as the best student in my department.
In my first year, I was among the top3 students in my department, so this time around, I made it a target to emerge as the best student, which I believe is possible.

I also have a goal of becoming the course representative of my department.
The rule is that every department should rotate the role of course representative every academic session and I plan on contesting for one

STEEMIT GOALS:

I so much believe that there's life after school and that being the case, I have also set some nice goals here on steemit, they are:

• BECOME A DOLPHIN🐬 :

Becoming a dolphin is the goal of every steemian that has not attained 5000 steem power, and this is one of my main goals on steemit.

I eagerly look forward to the day when I will have a total of 5k sp, and that way, I will know that I have achieved one of my steemit goals.

For now I have a total of 3k+ steem power and I believe that I'll soon achieve my goal of becoming a dolphin.

• BECOME A COUNTRY REPRESENTATIVE:

This year, I also added to my to do list, the goal of becoming a country representative.
I have always had that leadership quality in me and I believe that I will perform a good job by being a country representative of my beloved country, Nigeria.

And I believe that the time is now, the application to become a country representative is open and I wouldn't miss out on this wonderful opportunity.

• BECOME A CRYPTO PROFESSOR:

Before the halt of the steemit crypto academy project earlier this year, I had a goal of becoming one of the very diligent crypto professors.

When I noticed that professor imagen stepped down, I thought within myself that it would be a good opportunity to apply for the post of a crypto professor, but unfortunately, the crypto academy assignment ended.

Still I still have the goal of being one of the MOD of the crypto academy engagement contest, of which I believe that with a little hardwork, I'll get there.

• BECOME A COMMUNITY MODERATOR:

This is another very important goal I have for the year 2022, this year I have a target of becoming a community moderator, even if it is for a community for now.

I so much love the work of a moderator, being able to scan post for plagiarism, fish out farming accounts, in other words, becoming an FBI to steemit platform, it will be a wonderful privilege.

To show my seriousness for this goal, I have applied to be a community moderator of which I await the positive response of the admin of this great community.

• BECOMING A MEMBER OF A COMMUNITY CURATION TEAM:

Ever since the launch of the curation account, I have always have the intention of being a member or better still forming a new team to contest with the previous teams, but due to my low reputation then, I was unable.

Now that I have grown my reputation, I am really taking this goals seriously as my efforts will be explained in the next sub-heading.

• PROGRESS TO CLUB 100:

This is another very important goal I have in mind.
I really want to show my support to steemit by being among the few members of club100.

Being a member of this club opens a steemian to many opportunities of which I don't want to miss out, and I believe that with time, I will advance from club75 to club100.

MY ACHIEVEMENTS SO FAR

Personally, I am happy with my achievements so far, I might not be moving so fast but at least I am moving constantly.

The worst scenerio will be for me to be stagnant and I'm grateful that I am not stagnant as I have achieved few of my goals.

• THE GOAL TO BE A DOLPHIN🐬:

My goal of becoming a dolphin hasn't been so easy, if I must admit.
Although I haven't achieved the status of being a dolphin but I am a step closer to the goal.

Looking back at how I started until now, I have achieved a total of 3k sp which is remaining 2k sp to achieve my goal.

I made this possible by ensuring that I made quality post and get nominated as top 7 for the curators team and this has been of great help.

I have also ensured to make at least a post every day except for circumstances beyond my control.

• THE GOAL OF BECOMING A COUNTRY REPRESENTATIVE:

Although I haven't made my application of becoming a country representative but I have achieved some things that will help increase my chances of being selected.

One of the things I have achieved in this aspect is belonging to #club75.
For one to be a country representative, he has to become a member of either club100 or #club75, but club 100 preferably.
And I have proceeded to be a member of club75.

Another step I have taken is to build my reputation to 67.
I believe that reputation on the steemit platform will also be considered when the appointment is being made, as an individual with 50rep cannot be selected.

So having a rep of 67 will give me a better chance of being selected.

• THE GOAL OF BECOMING A CRYPTO PROFESSOR:

I know I still have a long way to go inorder to achieve this goal but I won't relent, I believe it can still be achieved this year.

Despite the end in the crypto academy assignment,I have decided not to allow all those knowledge go down the drain.

I continually visit my mt4 app for technical analysis on bitcoin, below is a screenshot of the analysis I conducted today.

As shown above is the analysis I conducted which helps to steer my zeal for cryptocurrency.

Aside from the technical aspects of cryptocurrency, I have also been making quality post on fintech tag and as seen below, I have received curation from SC05 account 2x in the last seven days

• THE GOAL OF BECOMING A COMMUNITY MODERATOR:

Out of all my goals for 2022, this is the nearly achieved goal.
Although I have not been appointed as a community moderator yet but I have made my application to be a moderator of this great community and my application can be seen here.

I have also engaged in series of discussion with the admin of this community and I still await his positive response.

• THE GOAL OF BECOMING A MEMBER OF A COMMUNITY CURATION TEAM:

I have also made progress in this regard, I have been able to organize a team which will apply for the community curation for next month.

This team consist of a Ghanaian, Pakistan and Nigerian, although the team is not yet complete but before the end of this month, our team will be complete.

My team members are @phlexygee from Ghana, @moneyster from Pakistan and @jueco from Nigeria.

MY CHALLENGES

There's no individual trying to climb the ladder of success that won't pass through some challenges.

Despite the effort I have been putting to achieve my goals, I must admit that I have encountered some challenges, and some of them are:

• ASUU STRIKE ACTION:

If you noticed from my goals mentioned earlier, I have some academic goals for the year and if you noticed my achievements, I didn't include any academy achievement, this is because the Academic Staff Union Of Universities in my country has been on a strike action for over 3months now.

The strike action began on the 14th of February 2022 and up till when this post was made, the strike action has not been called off.
And as such, I haven't been able to achieve any of my Academic goals.

I believe that when the strike action ends, I will achieve my academic goals.

• NO SBD PRINTING:

Another challenge I am facing is the issue of no SBD printing.
As seen above, I have a pending of a $30 post, on a normal basis, I should be expecting a payout of 15SBD of which 7.5SBD will go to the author and the remaining will come to me.

If converted, 7.5SBD will give me close to 75 steems, excluding my steem power, but now the post is about to payout with 59 steems of which half will go to the curators.

Truth be told, this payout is most times discouraging as it will enlongate my goal of becoming a dolphin.
With this payout, I will have to work 2x than usual inorder to achieve my goal of a dolphin.

• Another challenge I am facing is the economic situation of my country.
  If all things were to be normal, I would have long become a member of club 100, but because of the economic difficulty, I am still in club75 and I believe that with time, I will upgrade to club 100.

• To become a country representative, I have a slight challenge and that is the fact that there are numerous steemians with a higher steem power and higher reputation than mine, which leaves me with no other choice than to work harder, inorder to increase my steem power and reputation.

MY FAILURES

To answer this aspect of the contest, I wouldn't say I have failed in any aspect.

I believe that failure is something of the mind, it can only be said that a person have failed if the person refuses to retry.

All I can say is that I have some setback, some challenges of which I strongly believe that I will overcome with time.

MY EXPECTATIONS FOR THE SECOND HALF.

For the second half of 2022, I have lots of expectations since I am now working with experience and not out of ignorance.

• I have a goal of a dolphin status to attain within the second half of 2022, I I believe that this will come true, provided I work very hard.

• Another expectation I have is that of being appointed as a moderator in campus connect, I strongly believe that I will be appointed, since I have had some indoor discussion with founder of this community, the person of @whitestallion.

• I also look forward to joining the club100 status, I believe I will achieve this because I have been searching for another source of income for a while now.

• And the most of all, I expect to return back to my academic activities within the second half of 2022.

There have been some discussion between the federal government and the Academic Staff Union Of Universities, and from their negotiations, we are expecting a positive outcome.

WHAT Will YOU DO IN THE SECOND HALF TO MAKE THINGS WORK WELL.

Well, we all expect things to workout well during the second half of 2022, but without work, nothing will work out, and I have planned to do some things and they are:

• PRAYER:

I know that the Almighty is not a magician but I strongly believe that He is a miracle worker, so alongside my working hard, I will also ensure to pray very hard.

There are some situations beyond my control, for example, the strike action.
The only way I can influence the strike action is through consistent prayers.

• INCREASE MY ACTIVITY ON STEEMIT:

Inorder to grow my steem power and my reputation on steemit, I have decided to make at least two posts a day and to make use of the right hashtag.

I have also decided to make quality post on each of those hashtag, so I can stand a chance of being selected as top 7 for the week, doing so will attract the attention of steemcurator01 to my post.

• APPLY FOR THE ROLE OF MODERATOR IN OTHER COMMUNITY THAT NEEDS A HELPING HAND:

Another step I'll take to ensure I achieve my goal is to apply for the position of a moderator in other communities.
Doing so will help increase my visibility on steemit, thus making me a reputable user, just like my mentor @ngoenyi

CONCLUSION

I am glad I participated in this Contest as it has helped me see my weaknesses and areas I need to work on.
