Pressure is indeed mounted on students for the various reasons you have mentioned such as parents telling their children what to study, students not setting priorities,etc. This pressure can better be avoided by allowing children to study their preferred course in the case of parental pressure, setting priorities and early preparation towards examinations and tests can also help reduce this pressure.
