ACROMEGALY

Acromegaly is s medical condition which is caused by a hormonal disorder that occurs when the pituitary gland secretes excess growth hormone during the adulthood of an individual.

During the occurrence of.this hormonal disorder, there is usually an abnormal increase in size of the body parts such as bonds, hands, feet, face etc. This condition in adult is called Acromegaly but when it occurs in children, it is called gigantism.

SYMPTOMS OF ACROMEGALY

• Problems of sight.
• Abnormal increase in size of hands and feet.
• Enlarged bones.
• Enlarged tongue.
• Fatigue and tiredness.
• Enlarged internal organs such as heart, kidneys, liver, spleen.
• Sexual problems such as erectile dysfunction.
