Campus Connect Weekly Contest : Week 7- My First Day In Campus/High School- 30 steem pool By @ladyofpolicy

Hello my wonderful friends in campusconnect, I feel so good to participate in this week's contest which involves sharing the experience I had on my first day in school.

We all have an experience when it comes to school gist and school life and as a matter of fact two persons might have a similar experience and encounter but they can never have exactly the same experience so with regards to that I will like to share my own experience with my fellow friends,please enjoy the ride.

I am yet to enter the university and by then I will have a campus experience but I will share with you my secondary school experience.

I graduated from primary school in the year 2009/2010 and I got admitted into one of the best high school(secondary school) within my state but my grandparents who i grew up with refused me going to a boarding school because I was very small and tiny🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 and they feared for my safety so I stayed at home the first term so by the next term I changed school to a village school in my locality which was a girls' school with the name "Girls' Secondary School Uzuakoli".

On that fateful Monday morning,I went to the school with my grandfather who held me so tight as we matched to the principal's office. At first,all I know in my primary school was headmistress now getting to secondary school I now heard principal,it was sounding odd but grandpa was with me so I was strong.

After making the necessary payment,I was led to my class I can still recall vividly JSS 1B. So on getting yo my class,I was kept in the front row because I was the smallest and youngest in my class,yes of course I was just 10years old while I saw people of 12-13years in my class. So after settling down in my class and grandpa went back home while the teachers started coming in one after the other to teach,I felt more relaxed and loved the school system but something happened,guess what?🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

It was time for break and they rang the school bell,other student went out for a break but I didnt have any friend neither do I k ow the school premises,so I sat down on my desk all through the break period so 30minutes later the break was over and everyone came back to the class,and at the point the ugly incident that made me stay out from school happened.

After break,a group of students holding a long cane walked into our class,and everyone stood up to greet them. I don't know them neither have I seen such a thing so I was still sitting when my neighbor told me to stand up that they are "prefect" and me I don't even know what she was saying so I had no choice than to stand up,but before I could do that they've already spotted me sitting and asked me to come out and so with fear I ran out to meet them.

It wasn't funny because the cane they were carrying made my heart to skip a million times,so they started asking me questions which I don't understand so I didnt say a word to them I was just looking at them and from no where the cane landed on my body,Jesus Christ!!!!!! I screamed out loud as tears gushed down my check,while other students tried explaining to them that I just resumed school that day but instead of listening to them they punished all the students because of me.

Every one,mount on your desk they told other students,so they stood on the desk with their eyes closed while I lay down flat on the floor with my school uniform while the flog me on my buttocks,eight good strokes of cane. All I did was cry and cry and cry that the other prefects felt pity for me and ask her to stop but she kept on flogging me until someone went and report to the principal and she came and caught her flogging me while others were standing on their desk,and with anger the principal ordered the whole prefects to knee down and asked us to stand up,but I was really in pain so I was still lying down and crying.

So i cried till the end of that day,and during closing prayers in the chapel,the principal called them out alongside my humble self who was still crying,and she punished them in front of the whole students and declare it openly that they are no longer prefects,I smiled inside and she added that on no account of anything should anyone touch me in this school again and immediately I smiled inside,but maintained my frown face and after school dismissed everyone came to me to say sorry.

Wow,I became a celebrity in school on the first day and I also became friends with both principal and teachers and just as the principal said,no one maltreated me in that school till I graduated.

What an experience I must confess!!!!
What a first day at school!!!
But this experience made me to have the best stay in my high school...

Shout out to all palace girls in girls secondary school,uzuakoli, we must get there.

This was the slogan I gave to them before leaving school because my day one experience in school gained me popularity and influence as I finally became the "Senior Prefect in the school so while leaving I dropped this slogan with them;

Call: Palace girls!!!
Response: We must get there.
