Well I have a mind blowing topic to share with my campus mates titled Years of Gold Long Forgotten.
It's funny that some of us reading this never witness these good old moments, persons who were given birth to in the late 2000+ may never know the feeling of buying few snacks for as low as five naira . How many of us could remember beautiful memories long long ago, memories which if we want to start giving well detailed intels or information we could write a full encyclopedia about good old days, Days when you could buy alot with #100 ( a hundred naira) when we played with spoilt automobile motors tyres and will save up to get little gifts for ourselves in local beverage tins. Years of the local military game where we choose team mates, then carve woods or papers and irons as guns to kill oponents in uncompleted buildings, The mummy and daddy games where we cook raw foods and never eat them, the years where we built sand houses with our feet for grasshoppers, for the ladies play the Ogagame, the police catch thief, the thin kon thin kon game read the agbo lived in Calabar book, Ali and Simbi book, wheeled paint covers as cars, also made bouncing balls with balloons and wore the
Hummer up and down jeap jean etc. I'm sure we missed this times and Era's which may never come back or be repeated by history ๐ฅบ.
Today, no body can see the value of even #10 (ten naira) or even eat a good meal for #100 (hundred naira), how times flies.
Increase in demand and Devaluation of currency has affected the society and it is very sad ๐ข the same things we could acquire easily are now competing with natural resources in the country. I really miss those good old days. I hope these pictures will cast your mind back to good Gold daysThis post may be very short but I hope it gives you a flash back of better days in our young age.
