Today I'd like to talk about how I earned my first pay and how motivated I was. For the first time, a little boy was ecstatic to earn her first pay.
When I was around 11 years old, it happened. My father has relocated to a new apartment in a large complex with numerous neighbors. My father didn't want us to socialize too much with the other kids, so we stayed indoors at first. However, whenever he went to work, he would leave us with one young man to look after us.
The young man was a fantastic hairstylist, and I adored him for a variety of reasons. He was friendly, fun, a terrific dancer, a decent cook, and a great hairstylist (he make both male and female hair)
He doesn't have a business yet, so he uses the front of his flat as a storefront. People always come to him with their children on weekends to have their hair shaved for the next week. I used to like seeing dad cut their hair and assisting him in any way I could whenever he did it. As I previously stated, he creates both female and men, and while the females are always adults, the majority of them dread or relock their dread.
He recognized that I was learning at a rapid pace and felt compelled to draw me closer, so one day he surprised me by doing something unexpected. He asked me to barb the hair after telling one of the boys to sit down. I initially mistook it for a joke because I was unsure if I would do well, but to everyone's surprise, including my own, I performed admirably.
Wait, it wasn't how I got my first pay
People noticed that I was really excellent at barbering the little boy's hair after that encounter. On a Saturday, a friend of mine was seeking for a place to cut his brother's hair because their regular barber wasn't available, so he asked if I could help. Although it may appear absurd, I reasoned, "Why not?" My father had a clipper at home, so I went to get it. I sterilized the clipper with kerosene and oil. And in no time I finished barbing the hair.
After I completed barbering the little boy's hair, he looked fantastic, and his sibling was so pleased with it that he paid me #200 for my services. That sum of money was enormous at the time. Barbing that hair pushed me to do more; I was motivated by the money, and I continued to learn more so that I could deliver more.
