I couldn't have missed this noble occasion dear friends and members of CampusConnect. It was a thing of joy to join in the celebration and I am so happy that this noble community made it till this time.

I greet you all and please, permit me to share my day's activities with you of what took place with me on that faithful day. That day was Thursday, April 14th. I earlier received an invite from the founder of this community to be present during the anniversary celebration.

It was an honor to be invited but I was wondering how I could make it considering the lined up of events I had at hand that particular day. I had planned to complete the final stage of my cassava processing and to make other preparations for the commemoration of Christ death that was to hold on the next day. It was just like a tsetse fly on the scrotum. I didn't know how to kill it. But I quickly rearranged my affairs to ensure I was there. What are friends for? The founder has been a very good friend of mine and as an admin of a noble community, we are bound closely together.

Morning hours

Bearing in mind what I planned doing, I devised a means to be able to attend to them all. I woke up 3am and started frying the remaining cassava flakes that I couldn't finish the previous day.

I concluded this by 8;15am and quickly got ready to travel. I did my personal hygiene, got dressed and left the house to the bus terminal to board a vehicle to Abia State and precisely at the Aba Steemit office owned by @focusnow.

The bus I boarded had some challenges along the way and couldn't take me to my destination along with other passengers. We all boarded different vehicles from there to get to our destinations. Thank goodness it was a little close and I boarded a tricycle to the junction where I could take another tricycle to the steemit office.

Afternoon Hours

I got there few minutes past before 1 pm which was to be the starting time. Before long the ceremony kicked off. It began with an opening prayer by the host, and a brief speech from him too to welcome us all and to tell us how the event was going to unfold. He also expressed his gratitude to all who made it and to the fact that he was able to carry on and pioneer the affairs of the community till date and continues despite challenges. It was a wonderful speech and we all applauded him for that.

Bearing in mind someone like me that needed to go back to my city of residence, the occasion was a made as brief as possible. We were offered food and drinks. I got my own share, trust me, I enjoyed this part. The chicken in the food was so big that I found it difficult to finish it but I did, haha 😂😂😂. That can't be left, you know.

It was when I was busy eating that @beautybb showed up. I had not met her before but we had spoken several times here in steemit, and in WhatsApp groups even in dm. She is a very good friend and a sister but I just got a rare opportunity to meet her in person. Awesome 😎! I quickly jumped out of my chair and embraced her, she ran to me and WOW 😲😲😲😲😲😲, it was a grand and a warm embrace. We exchanged pleasantries and asked after health and family. We had a little moment together, took pictures and she left after being attended to by @focusnow.

It was time for the main event that signifies the occasion to be done, the cutting of the anniversary cake

The cake was unanimously cut after spelling "CampusCunnect". It was awesome 😎😎😎😎. You can imagine the joy and happiness that filled the air.

But that was where we ended the occasion, at about 4:15 pm. It was time for me to take my leave, but I took pictures differently with the some delegates

Evening hours

After a brief discussion with those present, I left to board a vehicle back to my city of residence. I was able to get to my house by 7:15pm, tired and exhausted as you can imagine. I needed to just rest. I gave my kids the cake I came back with, freshened up and laid down to rest but not without my steemit experience. I did few things in steemit before finally closing my eyes.

Conclusion

What can you say about my day? Busy? Awesome? I personally was happy to have completed the final stage of the cassava flakes processing and being present at the anniversary celebration of CampusConnect. It was an awesome day for me.
