Hello to everyone in this great community known as CampusConnect I welcome you all to a wonderful week alongside a great contest that has been organized by the community engagement team. It has been a wonderful week so far as we are faced with various contests to engage in, a job well-done to all the mods in this community. Today I will be dropping my entry regarding the topic given by the community engagement team which is tagged the thing I've learned on steemit. so I beckon us all to sit tight and relax as I drop my entry.
Thank you once again to this community for bringing up such an amazing contest to talk about. I have learned many things on steemit so far and I will be talking about the important ones. it is essential to know that one is learning from the things he or she does and it is also vital to show what has been learned so far. so the below are things I've learned on steemit so far.
When I signed up on this great platform, I was a novice. at first, I never knew what the platform was all about the orientation I got was the wrong one entirely. I thought everyone can just come up here and write whatsoever he/she wants and then boom the article will be curated and as such one get to make earnings from it. but little did I know that it was not always like that.
When I came, I noticed that there are some achievement posts that I needed to write before I can furthermore and make earnings regularly. when I published my first achievement post which is the introductory post, I noticed that it got curated and I was happy but then when crossed checked other old users' posts, I noticed that their articles are well written and justified. I never knew what text justified was until my achievement four when I learned about markdowns.
After that, my writing became more arranged to read and very wonderful to assimilate. whenever I looked back at my previous articles before the markdown achievement post, I always laugh at myself. but now I have improved so well and this improvement didn't just happen by reflex action, I learned it here on steemit. and with that, I get to see positive votes on my article, and this is as a result of the article being able to pass a piece of good information to several readers and it the text-justify makes an article easier to read and understand. so all the credit goes to this amazing platform and I am so grateful.
When I started working and publishing quality content on this platform, I always expect votes and kind words from individuals, the votes especially so whenever I post an article, especially that which relates to the #fintech curation team, I often go in search of whosoever was on duty that day and mention him on my article in other to get a vote. so whenever I do not get any vote I will get angry and wish I never published that article.
But then when the engagement contest began and I noticed that steemcurator01 mentioned that votes are not guaranteed, I, first of all, got discouraged and I was wondering why he said that but I then gave it a thought, most people only come to this platform just for its rewards and then do away with it after they get satisfied. so with this recent development, curation will not be wasted on users that are not ready to boost the platform to its next level.
With this approach, It has discouraged the act of coming to this platform to farm reward and go as now votes are not guaranteed. everyone is expected to post quality content that will assist users without expecting votes, with that, we get to see users that are true to this great platform. so after then, I then changed my mindset that whenever I create an article, I will never call or mention any user that is on duty from any curation team. if my post gets an upvote then fine and if it doesn't, it is still okay by me because I make the publication to educate users and not just come for the reward.
So with that, I have channeled that scenario into my personal life. I do things for people willingly, if they show any sign of appreciation, it is fine and if they do not, it's also fine by me, but I will keep doing good deeds to anyone I come across who needs my assistance in one way or the other. so it is indeed a positive lifestyle that I have cultivated and I equally learned it from steemit.
Before I came to this platform, I was a novice when we talk about cryptocurrency trading. I have lost enough money so far before I signed up here. but as soon as I signed up, I started receiving lectures from the steemit crypto academy community lessons back then, and I began to understand the various strategies in trading, how to understand market trends, and knowing more about certain technical strategies used when analyzing the crypto trading market.
So I vividly paid attention to the teaching in the academy from various professors and I learned many things from them, especially the teachings from great crypto academy professors like @kouba01, @reminiscence01, and @fredquantum. they taught me so well in the academy and ever since, my trading has been awesome as I now know how to apply those teachings to my chart analysis and everything is now moving smoothly. I couldn't have known anything about crypto trading if not for them, and I said a big thank you to all the steemit crypto academy professors for what you have done for us all.
It is on that note that I can now publish some crypto trading teachings to certain newbies in the Tron fan club as though the academy is now on hold, so I decided to continue on that trend by helping others who were not opportune to attend the academy lessons to also benefit from the teachings I got from the academy. showing them some technical analysis in crypto trading and indeed they all appreciate my effort regarding the teachings.
I am a businessman, and I sell bags and boxes. I subscribe to the Business Activity community for not quite long and I have learned so much in that community. I have learned how to increase my business visibility in other to gain more audience and promote my business. I also learned how to make business proposals and presentations. I was only a roadside sales young man who know nothing about gaining an audience through social media, but with the community, I learned how to do that with ease, and now I have gained many followers on Facebook who are following my business page and also patronizing me.
I didn't know how to do all this until when I subscribed to the business activity community. now I have gained more audience who now know about my business and page, I have many customers from the Facebook application who have patronized me and I have learned many things about business strategy. all this wouldn't have been possible if I was never a user of steemit, but with this platform, I managed to learn this.
CONCLUSION
The steemit platform is not just a place to come and get a reward and then leave, it all depends on how you see it as though we all have our differences. to me, this platform is more than what you could imagine. it is precious and priceless. if I was to pay for all these teachings I have gained so far, it would be much tasking, yet I got all those for free.
I have learned all of the above from this platform and those teaching are equally bearing fruits for me presently. so it is a thing to be grateful for and upon all those teachings, one also gets rewarded, this is indeed rare and not seen anywhere.
