Hello fellow steemians I'm here to talk on some of the problems faced by the universities in Nigeria, here are some of them:

LACK OF ADEQUATE SECURITY: In Nigeria, some universities lack adequate security items, devices and personnel involved in the safeguarding of the lives and properties of students and lecturers alive which lead to the emergence of theft, sexual harassment, destruction of property and even death.

POOR FUNDING: in some universities, they usually lack the funding to properly take care of students which leads to the buildings and equipment not being up to standard in some cases it may affect the payment of staff salaries, all these problems will affect the functioning of the university.

RIOT AND STRIKES: disagreements often cause students to riot or staffs to go on strike which will in turn affect the progress of the school.

OBSOLETE LEARNING EQUIPMENT: in universities today, most of the equipment used to teach students are outdated and old and therefore, students are not properly educated.

CULTISM: in universities today, cultism is becoming more widespread and their activities becoming harder to curtail. Most of these activities affect the universities directly or indirectly which in turn affect its academic and social activities

EXAMINATION MALPRACTICE: this has become a serious problem in our universities today as it tarnishes the image of the university and brings about the emergence of unqualified personnel which will affect the society.

LACK OF QUALIFIED STAFF: some universities employ unqualified staffs. Due to partiality or low salaries, brilliant lecturers are not employed, or leave the institution. All these lead to the emergence of unqualified staffs which in turn affect the quality of students in the university.

There might be many more problems which universities face but these are the few ones I'm able to talk about, if there are any more please let me know in the comments section
