Campus Connect Weekly Contest - Week 13 - 24 hours as a Vice Chancellor of your university by Sonia440

It's an honour to participate in this wonderful and interesting contest. I appreciate the coordinator for their effort to make sure this community fufil his aim and purpose of creation.

The name of my University is University of Nigeria Enugu Campus (UNEC), the second little daughter of the mother UNN. Born in 1961, after the the Colonial Masters regime.

UNEC is located at the peaceful corner of the heart of Enugu city. If was the Vice Chancellor of this Great prestigious institution for 24hrs their are some things I need to put in place and below is list of things I will do within the timeframe of 24hr

First and foremost I will call an emergency meeting for the principal officer of the institute to know their take in the decision am about to make and also to enlighten them about my plan and purpose for my great institute because as the vice Chancellor you can't do anything without the support of your subordinates.

Secondly I will try to strengthen the security system of the school because in an academic system where their is treat to life the students will not be able to study with free mind.

Thirdly I will install security light at strategic places to strengthen the security system.

I would create a system that will strengthen the relationship between student and security where they can easily report any treat to life (documents for the process duly signed before I leave the office)

Fortly I will look into the electricity system of the school, I will strengthen the backup system in case shortage of power supply for instance I can start a process where the school is going to buy more Generator.

I would do is to equip the classroom for conducive learning. I will make sure I buy more seat to accommodate the number of students that where admitted into the system because a situation where students comes for class and their is no seat for them to seat on is not encouraging . I will create 24 man committee that will be checkmating the condition of the class room and also regulate the number of students that is being admitted to regulate the issue of overpopulation and to enhance quality learning.

Lastly I will create a disciplinary committee that make sure the students and lecturers right is being protected and nobody is intimidated.

The above article is what I tend to achieve if I become the Vice Chancellor of my institute for 24 Hours and I can't achieve everything in just 24hrs but to create a working system that will ensure all my dreams and plan come to past.
