From the office of the vice chancellor // campus connect contest

introduction

Good day everyone it's your educated money hungry boy victoh. Speaking from my new office, as the acting vice chancellor, I have been given the office for just a day and I best make the most out of it.
Having been a student for a while I am truly glad for this opportunity. I believe that the insights to offer valuable solutions as I have been in the system for a while and have noticed the inadequacies is valid.

Before commenting on the various changes I would like to enact, I would like to applaud the management of this institution as they have been doing a terrific work so far. The job of running a school is by no means an easy one and you can never been paid or over compensated enough and even more difficult is the management. A university is so large and so is the work of management, there are so many departments that requires technical care and attention and so many minor details that can mare or harm the operation.
I as a student have been able to observe this flaws which are by no means a judgement or condemnation of your jobs but an isolated view from a student.

The following would be enacted by me the acting vice chancellor.

Revamping of the ICT sector

As we all know, we are in the information and technology age most of the works we do are internet based and there is need for high speed communication and as such I find it appalling when looking at the state of the ICT sector in my university , hence on my day as the vice chancellor, employment of top level information and communication workers would be prioritized so as to enable the advancement of research and communication of research finding world wide.

Security

Security of any establishment is paramount to the success of the business. Having noticed the lapse in the security in the university I would emphases this and see to it that more well trained and equipped personnel's are employed .
I would put and end to the late night robberies and the various dark conners seen in the school filled and littered with hoodlums attacking and stalking poor and defenseless students. The provision of streetlight and security camera around the campus would also be included in the process of revamping the security of the university.
Security of any establishment should be emphasized . Without the ability the properly safe guard lifes and property development cannot take place

Enacting a committee of student affairs

This committee sole work would be on the welfare of students affairs it come to my notice that students are the bedrock of various scams and unjust treatment such as mandating students buying nonessentials text books for marks, sudden increase of transportation cost, increase in cost of food. Basically I would see to it that the prices of basic amenities are not so high that students have a hard time affording them or have to go through illegal means to avoid this.
Solving this problem can start a chain of events which would make my other jobs a little easy.

The journey of a thousand mile starts with a single step and as such we know they are many issues with our university system but I seem these are the main onces with have the highest tendencies to start a change of events which could change my university system..

I also like to thank the organizers of the competition for giving me an avenue to voice out my options . I hope my options may be picked up by someone and so we can being to see some real change
