While I was growing up as a child, I had a vision of becoming a medical doctor because, my mum happens to be a nurse who works at federal Medical Center in jalingo, and beside working in hospital, she use to have a chemist which is located at the frontage of our house, so the chemist happen to be where I spent most of my time after school. Staying in that chemist and seeing how my mum admister drugs and how people often comes for medical advices developed my interest in medical line because, I find joy in saving people's life and I wanted to do more than my mum.

To fulfill my dream of becoming a medical doctor, I know too well that I most have to attend medical school, and not just any medical school but, one of the best in the country, as such, I started making research on the best schools that offers medicine in Nigeria and among the list, they were schools like University Of Ibadan, Obafemi Awolowo University, University Of Ilorin, Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, Lagos State University, and University Of Nigeria Nsukka.

After making research on the universities listed above, university of Lagos happens to take more of my attention, as the matter of fact, I fell in love with the University because of the beauty of the environment and their structure. The University is just looking wow.. with flowers all over and beautiful streets, lights and well builded structures all over the University. But what attracted most to the University is the history of the University. Lagos State University is one of the oldest State University in Nigeria,it was established by the enabling law of Lagos State for the advanced of learning and academic excellent in the year 1983 and it's motto for being for indeed and in truth .In the year 2020, the university was ranked as one of the top 600 universities in the world, and it also emerged as the best young University in Nigeria in the year 2021.furthermore the time higher education also ranked the university as the second best university in Nigeria in 2022.

Looking into the lifestyle of Lagos people (yoruba's), they have and amazing lifestyle and culture that I so much admire, also, they are also a lot of Igbo people who reside in Lagos for trade because, Lagos is the largest trading state in Nigeria and the Igbo people are lover of trade, they are never lazy in trading, and I so much love their business spirit and as such it has always been my dream to spend part of my life with them so as to learn new things especially their culture. And I believe studying in Lagos will be a great opportunity to make my dream come true, apart from the people, Lagos State weather is also lovely due to the amount of rain usually experienced and the amount of rivers, ocean and lakes. To cut the story short, Everything about the University, the people and the state, took away my attention, and as such, I made up my mind to apply for admission in the university.

During my jamb registration, I applied for medicine choosing university of Lagos as my preferred choice and federal university of wukari as my second choice to study computer science. Sadly for me, my dream university offered me no admission while university of wukari did. I was left with no choice but to go and study computer in federal university of wukari. And I can tell you that today, I am a proud computer science graduate, and I have enjoyed and I am still enjoying every bit of computer science. Nevertheless, I still have dream of one day seeing my self in Lagos State University for my master degree because, I am so much in love with everything about the University, the state and even the people in Lagos.

In conclusion, my initial dream of studying medicine never came to pass, but I am not disappointed because, God made the choice for me, but I believe I still have a hope of going for my master degree in my dream university, and I pray that may God grant me.

Uh oh!
I fell in love with the University of Lagos when I visited it last month. The structures there and architecture are well planned out. I felt like getting a transfer to study there. I recommended it for a friend of mine who wants to study medicine. I don't know what their cutoff mark is like.

My dear, the school is good but as it stands now I can't actually tell about there cutoff mark maybe you should make research on it. Thank you
