Since the launching of No Room For Racism in the 2019, it has brought most of the leagues’s works together against racial discrimination. There have been many projects that has been dedicated to football fans to take action, challenge and report any form of racism. Educational programs are organized to educate fans on how to put a stop to this racial discrimination.

The premier league introduced its No Room For Racism plan in February 2020, giving a couple of commitments aimed at creating greater access to opportunities and career progression for the the black football players. The premier league and its clubs works hand in hand with fans, FA, EFL, PFA to fight racism, promoting equality across all sectors of football.

No Room For Racism is printed on players and match officials shirts to remind fans of the commitment to eradicate racism, while matchdays have been dedicated to raising the awareness of this issue. Throughout the 2020/2021 season, the premier league supported players who took the knee to raise awareness educate people about racial inequality. With the ongoing communications, the premier league authority urges fans to challenge and report racism wherever it takes place.

Another project that was established to challenge racial discrimination was the Online Abuse Reporting System. This project was introduced to support players, managers and their families who receive discriminatory online abuse. One of the cases supported by the premier league was Neal Maupay Brighton & Hove Albion striker. Last year Maupay used the online reporting system after receiving threatening and racist messages and it was traced to find out that a man who stays in Singapore was guilty of sending these serious online messages.

With all these, the premier league shareholders agreed to introduce an enhanced league punishment including bans, for any individual found to have behaved in an abusive way. The premier league continues to work with partners to introduce these measures for 2021/2022 season.
