I am very excited to participate in this contest. And I will like to thank @steem.sports for organizing such a contest. I have always wanted to share something about my favourite african player so I know this is a very great opportunity for me.

Growing up as a kid, I have always had an unflinching love for Stephen Appiah. I always wanted to wear Jerseys with the name "Stephen Appiah" on it. It even got to a time when my friends used to call me Appiah. So Stephen Appiah has always been my favourite player as far as i can remember. Up till date, I still harbour such love for him and I would like to announce that he is my favourite African Player.

ABOUT STEPHEN APPIAH

Stephen Leroy Appiah was born in Accra in the Greater Accra Region of Ghana on 24th December,1980 to Mr. Bartholomew Nii Sackey Appiah and Madam Comfort Afua Awootey. He is married to Madam Hanna Appiah with a wonderful child called Rodney Appiah.

FOOTBALL CARRIER

Stephen Appiah was a professional midfielder who played for the Ghana National Team. He played so so well at the Youth and Olympic levels even before he began to play for the National Team. Appiah became very famous all around the world after he captained the Ghana National Team in the 2006 and 2010 World Cup.
With the support of him and his team, Ghana was able to reach the Quarter Finals in the 2010 World Cup which took place in South Africa.

Just like most other professional footballers, Stephen Appiah has amassed so much wealth. I usually would say that one of the things Appiah and I have in common is his love for cars. Appiah is a car lover who drives some of the luxurious cars you can think of. He also lives in a very huge mansion in Accra. Traveling around the world is also another thing Appiah loves to do.
