Manchester city and Guardiola go into the Carabao cup final as defending champions.
Having successfully defended the Carabao trophy thrice in a row, City and Guardiola are hungry as always for a fourth consecutive win against a Tottenham side guided by Mourinho to the final until his recent sack and replaced with interim coach Ryan Mason.
It’s a big game ahead of the former Tottenham midfielder now interim Head Coach, Ryan Mason considering he is inexperienced and going up against an in-form Manchester City and overly experienced Guardiola who boasts 21 wins in 25 previous cup finals including all six finals with City.
Ryan Mason will be hoping to build on his first game in charge after Tottenham won 2-1 at home against Southampton in the Premier League in midweek.
Guardiola and City are as well charged up after their midweek 1-2 away win at Aston Villa.
Manchester City go into the finals as premier league leaders after 33 games amassing 77 points. They will be looking at snapping a victory to put them on course for the treble as they also have their eyes on the Champions League trophy. A trophy they never had in their cabinet and has eluded Guardiola since he last won it with Barcelona.
Meanwhile, Tottenham sits 7th on the Premier League log with 53 points from 33 games and a chance for European league football next season at stake.
Doubtful key players;
