At Wembley today was an atmosphere full of emotions and determinations to reach the final of the Emirates FA Cup, as such made the battle an exciting and entertaining match to watch.
Thomas Tuchel of Chelsea laid a trap and Manchester city walked into it.
This was no grab from Chelsea, who superbly defended very well, used the ball intelligently and clinically targeted city’s weakness to reach the FACup final.
Thanks to the deft of Mason Mount creativity which resulted to a strong counterattacking goal from the Morrocan Wizard Hakim Ziyech who easily kept the ball behind the post.
Timo Werner with his pace gave a beautiful assist to the only goal in the game.
The rare city who is known for counter pressing football couldn’t possessed the ball as much, couldn’t create more chances and had only few shorts on target.
Ngolo Kante was the man who made sure Kevin De bruyne was made unseen in the game until he sustained injury and was substituted.
Chelsea has been on fire since the arrival of the Germen.
The game featured its lineup for Chelsea with the Spanish goal keeper Keper Arrizabalaga in post, Reece James played really very well as right wing back position, Ceser Azipilcueta the Captain for the side played along with Tiago Silver and Rudiger at ceter back with Ben Chil Well as left wing back.
In the heart of Midfield was played by Jorginho and Ngolo Kante, Mason Mount and Hakim Ziyech the goal scorer played as attacking midfielders with Timo Werner leading the attack as lone striker.
Manchester city made some changes too in their lineup by fielding their second goalkeeper to be in post by name Zack, Mendy as left back, Laporte and Dias as center back, Rodri and Fernadinho at the center of midfield together with Kevin who later had injury and was substituted by Foden. Sterling ,Jesus and Torres represented the attack doe the citizens
Chelsea refused to sit on their lead. Ziyech spurned another chance by shooting straight at Steffen, and Christian Pulisic had a goal disallowed for offside after coming off the bench.
It could have been costly when City stirred following Ilkay Gündogan’s introduction.
Chelsea dropped back, trusting in Thiago Silva and Antonio Rüdiger to stand firm. The pressure was relentless and Silva had to make way for Kurt Zouma. When Sterling fired over, though, City’s fight faded.
The game was over after a 90minutes + 5 additional injury times saw Chelsea fc wins by a goal to nil.
