Mayweather made $100 million from the Logan Paul exhibition fight

This information is based on an impromptu interview that Floyd had recently and not on any sort of official statistic but it just kind of made me sick to hear it. Floyd Mayweather is already one of the richest athletes of all time and he was gloating about the fact that he made as much money as he did. These are his exact word

"I'm the only person that can do a fake fight and get $100 M's"

By "M's" he means millions of course and even though it is despicable, he isn't wrong and you know why? Because we are all stupid enough to care enough to watch this garbage.

I watched the fight one a stolen feed so I am not one of the people that contributed to this huge money maker but it was extremely boring and was mostly a hugging contest outside of the first round where Logan came out of the gate screaming and throwing wild haymakers in the hopes (I'm guessing) of landing a lucky shot against a guy that is well-known for being able to dodge just about anything.

Later in the fight, it appeared as though Mayweather wasn't even trying to hurt Paul and there has been some level of controversy because the above image comes from the final seconds of round 5. If you watch the footage and I must have been looking at my phone out of boredom when it happened. You can see that Paul briefly loses control of his body just like anyone would when they get hit with a sharp right from one of the greatest fighters of all time. Rather than let Paul go to the mat, Mayweather appears to actually help Logan Paul remain standing for the final seconds.

I wasn't really a fan of these exhibition boxing matches and also, I am generally speaking not a fan of boxing in general ever since the glory days of the 80's. I don't even know who any of the champions are right now. I am even less of a fan of theft though, and that is what the Paul brothers, and Triller with their fake Tyson fights are doing to all of us right now and I think it is about time we stopped buying into the hype and ignore the fights of this type in the future.

Think of the good that $100 million could have done for lots of different things in the world right now? You can rest assured that Floyd Mayweather isn't going to be handing that money over to charity. Maybe the next time one of these "fake fights" (as Mayweather himself described it) happens, we can all donate some money to a charity and shun the fight itself.

They made enough already and this fight fan, is not going to watch or pay attention to any "fights" like it in the future. Will you join me?
