On this occasion the author wants to discuss about the Village Fund. The Village Fund is a budget sourced from the state expenditure budget for rural development in Indonesia. The village fund was first launched in 2015 by the central government and 2017 is the third year that village funds have been running.
Law no. 6 of 2014 concerning villages, the central government allocates village funds through the district or city government and so on to the village. With the village fund, the community can immediately choose what development they want to plan. The priority of the village funds themselves is more on infrastructure development and community empowerment.
Since the village funds were determined, the annual budget received by the village has increased. In 2017 the budget allocated for villages reaches 1 billion. In managing village funds, all levels of society are involved to oversee the planning process until the implementation phase is complete. Village funds do not only come from the state expenditure budget, but are sourced from the provincial regional budget and district / city regional budget.
Village funds are prone to corruption, if there is no transparency in managing village funds. It is therefore necessary for the villagers to really supervise each stage in the implementation of activities to produce maximum results. Village funds for the village and managed for the village.
Good efforts have made for village development. Well done👍
