Today I have come with amazing thing from our community (Local broom)
This broom is naturally made and no money needed to invest in this if you want to start-up a small business.
The different thing on this local broom is that is temporally not permanent daily use.
Now I have two types of it:
- Broom used to sweep inside our house in the photo below.
This broom is from grass called in our local language (OMUKOOZI). This grass is commonly in Africa because I lie on the African proverb which says ‘’Where the young ones knows is where the water rains’’ so this you first go in the area where more this type of grass is gathered and you start pulling in out, after you dried it about five days if the sunshine is sharp and if the sunshine is not sharp it’s about ten days.
The next step is to prepare local knife or razor blend which is going to help you to come with a good shape you want your broom to look like.
Then bring the used tyre plus a razor blend and cut the small pieces of tyres which you’re going to use to tie around after drying it from sunshine.
- Broom used to sweep our compound (Outside the house)
This broom is also from local grass which is a stronger than those we made from the broom which we used to sweep inside. This grass is called in our local language ‘’Olweyoyeyo’’.
This broom is majorly used only outside the house when the parent find using it inside he or she will start encouraging you to stop using because it mainly used outside the living house.
Even our elder have African proverb which says “OBA OLIKWEEYA SENTE’’
(it means your sweeping money out of our home).
