Communities Have Launched And The Excitement Has Begun!

Wow, what a week! First the announcement that Justin Sun has purchased Steemit inc! I've read and watched just about everything that I could on this subject and I must say that I'm stoked! Way more positive than negative!

Then the news that he was pushing for communities to be released and wham they're here! Way to go team and thanks @justinsunsteemit for leading and adding a new level of excitement and expectation. It was time for a change it it's here!

I'm Launching The Community "Contest Fun"!

You may have noticed that I'm bullish and I've powered up my main account to 105,000 SP. With the other accounts that I vote from I'm inching toward 200,000 SP. The good news is that I want to use it to help us all have fun and win prizes!

Will you Join Me At "Contest Fun"?

Hey, I sure hope so. I've given away 10's of thousands in Steem as contest prizes over the past 4 years. Not only that but I try and upvote each and every entry and give a good supporting upvote to every entry that makes a post about their entry!

Here's The New Contest! "Stone As Art!"

I love seeing stone used in construction. The work involved, the skill, the permanence and the beauty of the material all facinate me.

Here are Some Samples To Get You Thinking!

I love the patterns and textures in this road pattern!

I'd call this impressive and beautiful. Wouldn't you?

Here Are The Contest Rules

● Show me a photo of some stones that look like art!

● Post your photos in the comment section below

● The photo must be yours NOT one that you find on the internet.

● Maximum of 2 entries per person

● If you make a post promoting the contest I'll try and give it an upvote as well

● There will be at least 5 prizes of 2 Steem each

● The contest closes in 7 days

That’s really nice!

Thanks!

“Stone as art” I just have to participate ! Stones can be cold, but many times the can also give a feeling of warmth.

So for my submission I have chosen to share the Stone path that lead to my house. I don’t know the name of the stone that has been used to make it but I sure find it beautiful. The random shaped stones combined with the surrounding glass makes for a nice mosaic pattern. Here are my photos:

Hope you liked the photos and wish you an awesome weekend !

Great additions to the contest!!!!

Thanks :) glad to participate!

I took this photo at the Anzac War Memorial in Sydney. It is the Australian continent carved into stone. The state NSW is highlighted with steel pins. I just loved the idea.

Yes I get it! Nice entry!

Thank you.

Haha... I guess not too difficult.

This is wonderful! Thanks for sharing the fun!

Cheers

Maybe you’ll find something that you can enter.

Thank you so much for your kindness. I was thinking about this! But I am only slightly artistic!! I just like big rocks abs stones! Now! I have to start looking at them from artistic angle!! Will try to have some fun!

Have a nice weekend.

Cheers.

I was unlucky last time, nothing to participate in the last contests. I don't have photos made especially for the contest, but I have found something that will match how much ... in the background there are some stone works.

Very nice!

Thank you!

Glad to see that you are positive ! I must also say that the communities rolled out really quickly after Justin took over Steemit inc, and hopefully we will see things happening a lot faster from now on.

Still I have some concerns, and I don’t know exactly what Justin’s goals are right now.

I joined your community ! I will definitely try to participate in this one ! Wish you an awesome weekend my friend !

Great to see you here. Please do enter a photo. Of course there is still some doubt here but things were way too slooooooooooow before.

Let's see what happens.

Greetings to the Mrs!

Well I couldn’t agree with you more there my friend ! It has been extremely slow
